We're always very pleased with Lai Wah Heen. The food is excellent and the service fantastic. Its a little pricey but well worth it for special occasions. The peking duck is the best in Toronto.

“Horrible”
Reviewed December 25, 2012

Just bad. No Atmosphere, impersonal, mediocre food. $250 for party of 2. I got back to my hotel and ordered a burger that was better and I don't even like finger food. I guess people who left a good review have never been to Ruth Chris, which is 10 x better and half the pric, the waiter will call you by your name, and look you in the eye. If you can't put it down, you shouldn't have to pay, but not here - they brought me the bill anyways. What part of the galaxy are you from, if you like this restaurant????

“Great dim-sums”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

Finding authentic Chinese outside China coud be hard sometimes. Barbecue pork and most of the dim-sums are even better than some restaurants in Hong Kong.

“Truly worthy of it's name "Beautiful Meeting Place"”
Reviewed December 2, 2012

As a guest of the hotel, we enjoyed a 3-course Prix Fixe dinner ($35 ea/2 people) that was well-prepared and absolutely succulent. Service was excellent, and the surrounding serene and relaxing.

“World Class Oriental”
Reviewed November 30, 2012

Most experiences we have had involving hotel dining have been at best, average, but the the Lai Wah Heen located in the Metropolitan Hotel on Chestnut Street in downtown Toronto is absolutely the opposite!!!! Professional staff & a world class menu prepared & served expertly make this one place in Toronto a must to visit. Wonderful, elegant atmosphere and a menu that won't break the bank.
