an old friend recommended Il Posto to celebrate a new life. FV had arranged for oysters to be flown in from West Coast for the event. Nice touch and fit in nicely with well presented menu of this delicious resto. Our waiter Pedro was professional and cordial, making everything appear without fuss. After the briny oysters we followed Pedro's advice with the day's menu of, antipasto, emulsions and pasta. Quite tasty all around with a flinty Soave to accompany followed by the house Chianti which was bang on. Deserts and coffee were served out on their quiet terrace and we whiled away some happy time. This is an up-market re$to which has survived over many years for many good reasons. Bravo Il Posto and bravo Pedro!
