Was so looking forward to re-living our recent visit to Spain but it was not to be. Really nice server but the atmosphere and the food just didn't pass muster. We got our tapas in dribs and drabs. Had to wait an hour for the lamb dish which was not worth the wait. Then the music and dancing started - music was good but neither held our attention for long. Is there a restaurant that serves tapas on a bar in Toronto so you can look and choose, like they do in Spain? Sorry but the whole thing was a disappointment.

Went back to Embrujo Flamenco a recent Friday night... food is still tasty, but the service was a bit off.
We arrived quite early, 7:30 and there were at least 4 or 5 tables. The first person who came to the front said that we needed a reservation but we could come back and try again later. However, while we were debating whether to try elsewhere, another server came and seated us, which made sense, as at no time while we were there did every table fill up.
Usually we order about 4 or 5 tapas and a half litre of sangria for the two of us and they come out fairly close together, so one can sample several items. However, the service was very odd- we got one dish at a time each spaced about 20-30 minutes apart so our 4 dishes were eeach eaten separately, when we'd ordered them to complement each other. Moreover, the order was odd-we got a meat dish first, then 30 minutes later a salad then our steak/frites and finally a mushroom dish in a wonderful sauce but after everything else, including the bread was done, so nothing to mop up the sauce with. So, food was good, enjoyed the flamenco dancing and spanish guitar playing but the kitchen needs to figure out how to speed up the delivery a bit- food was tasty but one tapas each 20-30 minutes was too slow.

The place was nice, and the entertainment was just OK , but if you are hungry - the tapas dishes which are quite small can add up to quite an expensive meal, especially by adding on the Sangria (which was watered down).

Give this place a pass and go to a nice restaurant with decent portions

Been to this restaurant twice (2012 + 2013). The tapas are varied, well-prepared and not all served at once! In fact you can eat only tapas and therefore the price of your meal can be quite reasonable. Have not had the paella, so can't comment. Sangria was great, and wine list was excellent, if expensive (but which Toronto restaurant is not?). The ambiance does leave quite a lot to be desired, but the flamenco show was excellent, really wonderful. Overall, I recommend, but not perhaps for your most special meal. (Tip: Use the website to make a reservation, since they don't seem to be very good at answering the phone or using voicemail.....)

Delicious food, good wine selection, nice flamenco show. The black paella here is really good. But so are the tapas.

The sangria is very good too, I particularly liked the white one.
All in all, nice gourmet experience if you're looking for a Spanish dinner.
