It is basic canadian cuisine. Food is prepared fresh to order. Quantity and quality is average at best. I would only go there once a year, it is nothing special.

The name made us think it was an genuine ethnic Chinese style restaurant but it is anything but. It was more like the Canadian style Chinese with the chicken balls and fried rice combination plates. We had a young child with us who always wants chicken nuggets so we ordered the chicken balls. Big mistake. They tasted sort of like gasoline. The green beans w chicken and black bean sauce wasn't too bad but still not very good. The fried noodle dish was pretty much tasteless as well. And, hey! We were starving. Usually food tastes so much better when you are so hungry. We complained about the chicken balls because the meat inside was sort of grey and of course the taste was awful. My wife heard the people from the other table(there were only 2 tables in use at 5 in the afternoon) complain about the chicken balls too. They deducted the cost of them from our bill at least. This is one of the worst restaurants I have ever been at in my life. I can't see why people from a different area of the world try to cook Chinese food and think they will stay in business. It doesn't seem to work. They should try east Indian food there and see how that goes.

The food is really tasty with a big variety of dishes.

The mains tend to be about 3 to 4 dollars more than other places with the portion being the same.

The place is said to be halaal (meat Muslims can eat), even though they are Christian. Its small and tight. Nothing too classy but kept clean and neat though. Its decorated in somewhat tacky chinese decor. They have a big screen tv to play indian video songs. The owners are Chinese but from India, so the female owner has an Indian accent. Shes really nice.

Sometimes they'll peel the vegetables infront of you at a table if you're there in the afternoon.

The best dish for me is the Crispy Szechuan Chicken. Its THIN strips of chicken, coated in batter, fried to a crisp, then drenched in a sweet-sour spicy sauce.

The problem is they pre-strip the chicken for dishes like this, and the chicken can dry out when being fried, so you end up eating sugar-sauce coated fried batter. So sometimes you have to ask for the bigger strips. You also have to eat it right away, or it goes soggy and loses its effect.

Overall, great restaurant....but you pay a bit more than the avg chinese restaurant.
