We had a small informal gathering of family and friends after our ceremony at city hall, and Canoe has more than surpassed our expectations.

The moment our guests walked it they were captivated by the view, and the exquisite service by our server Roger was nothing less than perfection. Wine was always flowing, orders were taken at the right moment, food and wine would pause when our parents wanted to give mini-speeches...the serving team was observant, courteous and professional.

The food itself was top notch, to go with the stunning view. Portions were just right, and quite a variety to choose from. The paired wine complimented everyone's dishes wonderfully - kudos to our event organizer's suggestion.

As the night wrapped up we were so very lucky to see a perfect moon arise, and cast its reflection on the lake. This was a great bonus to our day, and the after-dinner drink suggestions by Roger was well received.

Bravo to all of the staff, and thank you for making our occasion truly special.

I had dinner with my girlfriend (several years ago, now she is my wife), trying to find the occasion to propose her. The view was amazing, service and food excellent...and eventually I gave the ring...then the waiter, congratulating with us, offered us a special dessert composition with "Congratulation " written with chocolate cream!
Amazing place for special occasions, highly recommended!

My husband and I went to Canoe for our anniversary. They greeted us with happy anniversary when we arrived and that just set the tone for the evening. The service was very good and the food also was really quite good. The only dish that disappointed was the soup I started with. Everything else was much better than we had expected. We had decided on Canoe for the view and we weren't disappointed. It only got better as the sun went down and the lights of the city came on. We will be back.

The restaurant has gone downhill over the last ten years. The food here is mediocre at best and with its prices, that is not acceptable. Having great service and the best view in Toronto isn't enough to redeem this place for its average food. Go to the bar and splurge on some overpriced drinks if you want to enjoy the view.

I hang with a gang of foodies which travels too much and compensates by indulging in a bit of fine dining. We were in Toronto for a week. Canoe had been recommended. The bottom line is that the view is the primary attribute, service was poor and the food quite mediocre. We were really surprised. If you are in for the food, go elsewhere, such as the Grove, URSA, ...
