“could be the best in Canada”
Reviewed May 13, 2014 via mobile

Excellent food in an exceptional location, with a panoramic view of Lake Ontario. The menu focuses on food sourced from all over Canada. The foie gras from Quebec was delicious, as was the venison , duck and lamb. All beautifully presented. Bring your platinum card, it is expensive!

“Best views of the city and good food”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

I am usually a bit suspicious of restaurants on roof tops because they sell the novelty of the location over the quality of the food. Canoe is an exception to that rule. The view is amazing: 54 stories up, looking down on Union Station and pretty much everything around you. The interior is also very well done with a modern minimalist style and great lighting. Good bottled beer selection, good cocktails and the one dish I tried was great. Service was also very friendly. Will visit again for a meal and it might earn an extra point. Not typically open on the weekends, but it was Mother's Day so it was an exception.

“This is a must!”
Reviewed May 12, 2014

You are on the 54th floor of a bank building and have great views of Toronto and Lake Ontario. We ate here on Mother's Day, so the menu was a little different than the normal one. The salmon dish I had was wonderful. My husband like his duck dish. The wine list was varied and a sommelier came over to help my husband pick the wine. The dinner was pricey, but we had appetizers and dessert also. So, save this for a special treat. They also have a bar with the same gorgeous view so this might be a good place to nurse a drink before going on to another restaurant.

“Perfection on a plate”
Reviewed May 10, 2014 via mobile

Couldn't fault either the food or the service. We had the taster menu with wines. It was excellent value, the food was delicious and all the staff were very knowledgable about what they were serving us.
Very relaxed atmosphere, wonderful views of Toronto and the bonus of a light show from the CN Tower.
Would recommend to anyone and will go again the next time we are in town.

“Paradise is here”
Reviewed May 7, 2014

After coming here for the first time, you get the feeling you had an amazing food, but probabçy was just luck, and you were in a good mood!

But when you go again, you find that is not just luck! Is because here food is amazing! So we had another superb meal, finished with a Butter Tart that makes you believe you're simply entering the paradise!!!

The sommelier made great suggestions for wines to go with the food and don't forget the view, either during the day, but specially at night.

The only point I can suggest that can be improved, is the initial long time it took before we could make our order, you can reduce that in order to by simply perfect!
