Description: Reminiscent of a 1930's Parisian Bistro, Biff's Bistro is a smart, upscale masterpiece by Toronto uber-restaurateurs Peter Oliver and Michael Bonacini. The stylish lounge, featuring a stunning zinc-topped bar, represents pure vintage design, while handsome leather banquettes, warm wood paneling and grand mirrors create a rich, lively dining space. In this setting, Chef Amanda Ray presents an extensive menu of inspiring French bistro cuisine, with an impressive corresponding wine list. Located in the heart of downtown, just steps away from many downtown theatres, hotels and the Air Canada Centre.

Wide ranging French menu at reasonable downtown prices.
We enjoyed Poulet Chasseur with Northern Woods mushrooms & autumn grains and Orange glazed duck breast, Napa cabbage & chili jam.
Lively atmosphere and friendly staff.

A great central location just off Yonge and Front. Come for a drink or a cappuccino and stay for the authentic French menu. It's one of my favourites - say hi to Martine at the bar. She has been looking after Biff's loyal clientele for years from her spot behind the bar. She will make you a lovely non-alcoholic juice drink if you don't want anything stronger.

I love it here! We always go for buck-a-shuck oysters and they are always really high quality. The rest of the food is also incredible, the deep fried smelt are my favourite. The staff is always incredibly helpful and friendly. I'm always impressed!

This restaurant is a go to as the food is prepared well and the staff is attentive. I’ve eaten here several times and I’ve not been disappointed. I enjoy lunchtime the best, as it isn’t as crowded and easier to get a table without a reservation than in the evening.

I had the fish and it was cooked perfectly. My husband tried the new menu item; the cold smoked fish and he thought it was great along with the pickled vegetables that accompanied it.

The restaurant has a relaxing atmosphere and makes for a great time out to eat and talk.

Freezing January day...we were seated quickly in the large, rather austere room. Not much warmth. Small menu of outdated unimaginative bistro fare. Has anybody been to France lately? Limited choice of uninspired appetizers...nothing to tempt. Mains fared no better. Meagre portions of duck confit, moules, steak tartare. Daily prix fix menu boring and no bargain. Limp frites. The usual creme brûlée etc. for dessert. Why bother? Seemed full of business people more interested in texting than eating. Service was fine but after our mains arrived, we felt ignored. Wine list just OK, nothing special. Featured wine at $52 a litre, pricey, n'est pas? Definitely, give this one a pass.
