We arrived 1/2 hour earlier than our reservation and they managed to seat us immediately even though the place was very soon packed. The service was excellent and the food was quite good.

Our dinner was fantastic in all aspects. Everything we tried was delicious. Best of all, I retasted the Bouillabaisse I ate when I was a young girl in France. And the escargots are prepared in a very unique way, and amazing. The flavors were divine, the hostess was so pleasant. We could not have been happier. Just for the chef's feedback, I would just say that all four of us loved everything we ate, except the chocolat dome and the Paris Brest desserts. There were not as good as the rest of our choices. But we can not wait for our next visit! Thank you for such a wonderful authentic French meal!

This restaurant is a diamond in the rough! Beautiful french food, well presented and every bite was perfectly balanced.

The chef owner Pascal Geffroy came out to ask us about our meals and experience. This gesture was appreciated and it brought a sense of community to the experience.

We will definitely go back.

We had a lovely meal here this weekend. The terrine platter was great and nicely presented. The mussels were also good. The problem was that when the main dishes arrived we were quite full, maybe should have shared a starter! The duck was very tasty and cassoulet while tasty was slightly dry. We enjoyed good wine too and some coffees to finish but didn't manage a dessert.

French restaurants are usually thought of as stuffy, but this is anything but, nestled in along Gerrard beside a series of Vietnamese eateries (including the excellent Mimi's) and kitty corner to Eastdale Collegiate, leader in schools with green roofs with gardens. The place is humble but the food is very well prepared and service is of a high caliber and friendly, not snooty.
What impressed me after a talk with the chef (he comes out after the meal to check in) is that there is no truly French cuisine. French cuisine is regional, bot national. They not only buy local food, they eat a local cuisine suited to their geography and culture. This restaurant was owned by a chef who cooked in the style of northern France, but the new owner comes from the South and is gradually shifting the menu to express his traditions,
The excellent cassoulet (bean) is an example. The truth is that French foods are very humble and it's the quality of the chef that earns the reputation no the expense of the ingredients. So beans are great for the main course of an evening of high French dining!
