Description: Housed in a historical building, Bangkok Garden introduced Thai cuisine and culture to Toronto over 30 years ago and is one of only four Thai restaurants in Toronto to be awarded the Thai Select Premium designation from the Thai Consulate - recognizing the authenticity of the food and outstanding service. Acclaimed as one of North America's premier Thai restaurants, Bangkok Garden serves authentic Thai food based on the Thai principle of balancing the five tastes. In addition, our cuisine caters to many dietary restrictions. From spiced stir- fries, to fresh rolls and curries, there are several gluten free, vegan and vegetarian options to suit all. Our bar lounge offers exotic cocktails, martinis, wine and a large selection of international beers. Open for à la carte and buffet lunch Monday to Friday, and dinner Monday to Sunday. Reservations recommended. Private and semi-private group dining available.

A problem that Thai food suffers from is that it's so popular as take-out, which means few people know how delicate its tastes are. This restaurant is a great place to go to be re-introduced. It's quite fancy so probably best for a special evening. The menu explains the history of Thai food, which is a nice way to show a little authenticity and build up food literacy. The servings are ample. The cooking is first rate. The service is fine. The woman at the door was super welcoming. I tried the Thai beer, which was light but good. Good range of spiciness offered, so no problem there. What's not to try?

I've been coming here for lunches for years, and it never disappoints. The buffet doesn't have a huge number of choices, but the food is always great. The noodle bar in particular is fantastic. The price is reasonable, and the service is good. A favourite of those working in the hospital district.

(+)'s: Supreme Thai food. Nice settings: original wood work and water features. Fresh flowers on every table and quiet background music. Relaxed yet efficient service. Don't miss lunch buffet for 16$: nice selection even for vegans! Good cocktails.
(-)'s: Dinner menu and drinks are slightly over priced. Try to come for lunch but make sure to make a reservation.

This is by far the nicest (appearance wise) Thai restuarant that I've ever been to. Service was excellent - very attentive wait staff. The food was no better than any other Thai restaurant in Toronto, and the servings are smaller and much more expensive. I prefer Sukhothai, Khao San Road and even Go For Thai.

We went there for nice dinner during winterlisious 2012.
Overall restaurant is very busy but cozy and romantic. Our server was running around in hurry and as a result during entire evening mixed up who ordered what, since it was only two of us it was ok to switch.
Food Overall was very good: My appetizer was yumm and so is my the other person, soft deep fried calamari was excellent. Chicken skewers were moist and sauce was perfectly spicy.
For the main dish disappointment arrived, all main dishes come with rice and stir fry. Stir fry was the WORST I have ever tried, super hard giant pieces of cabbage+ raw zucchini made it unpleasant both on taste and texture. Main dish of red curry was excellent and rice was perfectly done. Basil beef was amazing (properly the softest piece of beef I have ever tried in my life).
Desserts were good too my mango-chocolate mousse cake was heavenly and banana fritter had amazing crunchy but sweet coating on it .
