Description: Established in 1999 With limited resources and a speckling of English, owner/chef Ayse Aydemir had her first taste of the food industry selling "yufka" from her small rented apartment kitchen."Yufka" a labour intensive thin phyllo-like dough, and a key to the foundation of many appetizer dishes, became synonymous with Ayse. Baklava's, boreks and dips soon followed suit.Feeling constrained in her small kitchen and with a client base growing by the week, Ayse took the next big step and openedAnatolia Restaurant.Established in 1999, Anatolia Restaurant has grown in popularity to become one of "Toronto's Top Ten Restaurants" according to The Globe and Mail, as well as being regularly recommended by Toronto Life, featured on the Street Eats television show and CBC's Living Toronto to mention a few.

“Nice food And very nice service”
Reviewed April 16, 2012 via mobile

It isn't the nicest middle east food that I have ever ate, but is slightly more than average. It's small, good atmosphere and the service was good. The prices are a little bit higher than normal. The araki is served in a nice and funy way, in a glass layied in a metallic dish full of ice. In the end It's a nice restaurant but probably not so nice to go there for dinner again.

“Better than average food in below average facilities”
Reviewed March 20, 2012

Friendly wait staff. Good main courses. Uninspired wine selection. Ho-hum desserts. Bright and attractive dining space. Not a choice for a special occasion though unless the ethnic aspect has strong appeal. Good first impressions took a rapid turn for the worse on making a trip to the restrooms at the back of the dining area and down stairs covered in truly filthy carpet. Dried muddy footprints as well although we were the first diners of the evening. Washrooms need a good spit and polish, a lick of paint and fresh fixtures. The route to the WC takes one past the open pass through to the kitchen which presents a tired and rather grubby appearance complete with some wiping rags on counters and stove top which most people would have rejected as floor cloths. To top off the scene a disheveled looking individual in a winter coat was seated on a chair eating from a plate on her knees! Some attention to detail could easily raise this small restaurant to above average.

“Wasted Evening”
Reviewed October 23, 2011

A very small place with some intentions to crate an authentic atmosphere. The food is not bad, but nothing out of ordinary. Relatively small portions for a relatively high prices and an absolutely awful service. Save yourself a wasted evening and go to a decent Greek restaurant.

i have been last night of istanbul with my friends, we had the best fun ever. the food was excellent and the service was great as well. servers are friendly, and food was soo delicios, it was fresh, most of the stuff was homemade, and even i got myself some frozen pastry to eat at home. the belly dancing show was amazing and the music was so moving as well, we didnt sit down from dancing. the amazing part is that i got my fortune told. it was fun. i am definetly going back to have some more Ali Nazik Lamb..

“I'm craving Anatolia's dips and pide bread. Am certain to be back.”
Reviewed April 13, 2009

Anatolias is in a slightly off-putting location in a small shop front in a an old strip of businesses in Etobicoke. It was recommended by friends and surpassed our expectations. The food is fresh and delicious and the atmosphere friendly. Vegetarian plate was especially good and were the mixed dips starter. We will be back.
