This is a nice spot which was nicely decorated in earthy tones and hand carved wooden benches with cushions. I am new to Ethiopian food, but it was quite tasty. We ordered the Lalibela platter for two. I figured this was a good choice since we weren't familiar with the dishes and wanted to try many things, but there was only 2 of us. You meal can served on a large tray covered with a big kind of sour cream tasting pancake called injera. All of the meats and vegetables are served on top of the injera and you were given more injera on the side. There was more than enough food for the two of us and everything tasted good, though unfamiliar. The place is filled with Africans and lots of other ethnic groups so don't be intimidated, by not being used to the food the servers are nice and will help you feel welcome and help you through the menu. The cost per meal was about $20 per person plus drinks.

Great for for the price!! for $23 you will have more than enough for 2 people with variety on your big dish. I love how they decorated it too, it is very cozy and it takes you away while you are in there. We came late friday night and we were the last to stay in the restaurant: they do NOT try in any form to lead you out of the door because it's time!

Great plus on customer service

their Special Ye'Bed Tibbs are amazing, really big portion, one plate is enough for a person that eats a lot, you could even get satisfied with half portion if you are not too hungry, the servers are friendly and have a calm and nice attitude, good background music, makes you feel you are in an exotic country, overall excellent experience, I'm in love with their lamb, even though some other items of traditional ethiopian food are not really my type that lamb is worth everything

**They've recently remodeled the interior of the Bloor St. location and it looks great!!**

The food here is delicious!! I can only comment on the Vegan side of the menu, but there's always a good crowd so one can assume all the menu items are as delicious as the Veg selection.

Bonus that they have Teff Injera if requested (many Ethopian restaurants make their Injera with wheat flour) and Teff is Gluten-Free.

Fantastic Value. With a sampler Veg. platter for two around $20, you leave with a perfectly full belly, and a warm smile from the friendly staff!

My wife and I decided to try something a little different for our anniversary dinner. We decided a good unique experience might be Ethiopian food in Toronto. We ordered one meat platter and one vegetarian platter and could not even come close to finishing. Great value, with a very relaxed atmosphere. The people eating there were all friendly, and made for a very enjoyable and relaxing evening.
