We went for our anniversary, we realized that it would be fairly expensive. However four hours later my partner and I woke up with severe diarrhea and vomiting. The view was great, we arrived about thirty minutes before sunset. All I have to say is be careful of what you eat!

OK, well, my husband decided to surprise me for my 50th birthday by taking me up the tower and meeting up with our 4 kids in the 360 restaurant, hoping for a fun experience and great meal. Alas, this was not to be.

It has been quite a few years since we have had a meal there and boy oh boy has this establishment slipped.

It was a first sitting and the servers crushed all the diners as closely together in one section leaving about 3/4 of the place empty. I guess its easier to keep everyone close to the kitchen and for tiding up.

The servers have an air about them of people who have had their jobs forever and will have their jobs forever. Slow, bored, uninterested and in no way reflect the kind of services that the prices at this restaurant should dictate.

The food! Very very expensive. Now we don't mind very expensive if its fabulous, a real treat, but the food was just plain terrible. We paid $545.00, before tip, for 6 of us (including 4 kids, one glass of wine, one beer). Back to the food... they couldn't ever serve a decent tomato salad; not ripe enough tomatoes with chewy old mozzarella. Most of us ordered fish dishes.... all were overdone to the point of dry and tasteless. Dusk was dry, tough. My $48.00 appetizer, "trio of seafood", consisted of overcooked rubbery cold shrimp, seriously canned lump crab, and some gritty scallops. I couldn't eat it. We endured.
The kids all ordered deserts with hope... and they looked good but somehow even the deserts were cheap and tasteless.

The ladies WR was dirty. It honestly hadn't had a good cleaning in year and smelled like urine. Yes really.

We didn't want to complain on the spot as the kids were with us and we didn't want to put a cloud on our family time together, just wanted to get out of there, but as i was leaving i felt ashamed that tourists coming to our wonderful world class city would be subjected to this kind of experience. But i guess that what they count on. The unsuspecting captive tourists.

Shame on you 360.

Had my birthday dinner at the 360 restaurant with family. Was pleasantly surprised that despite how busy it was the food was of really good quality and presentation. Never felt rushed so was able to take in the spectacular view as the restaurant turned 360 degrees. Up to the viewing platform after with the glass floor - it's a very long way down!!

We visited the restaurant on my 60th birthday whilst on holiday visiting our daughter and husband. We had a booking at 1pm on a Saturday lunchtime.
We arrived and went to a separate queues for the lift. The lift is part of the attraction and the ascent is exhilarating. We were greeted at the entrance and seated at a table on the outer ring beside the window.
The meal was a fixed price for three courses, with several choices for each course.
One member of the party of five ordered the beef with an extra charge and this was the only disappointment in all the courses. Everything else was delicious and well cooked and beautifully presented.
The staff were very pleasant and attentive
They even brought out my dessert with a candle and Happy Birthday written on it because my daughter had informed them.
We had the obligatory picture taken at the entrance to the restaurant and they came round to sell it during the meal. This was the only issue we had because it felt intrusive and unnecessary. We did purchase the photograph because it was a special occasion, but they could have shown it to us after the meal.
however, the meal was not rushed and we enjoyed the whole viewing experience.
After the meal we went to the viewing floor and the view was obstructed by the grating.
We did see the glass floor and that was the only bonus on that floor.
We enjoyed the whole experience for a special occasion in a city we had never visited before.
However, for us we did feel that the difference in cost of a meal and the view was better value than visiting the viewing floor on its own
