Stayed here for a few nights in September. Check in and ckeck out were easy and quick. Booking included a very good breakfast - surprising as most Canadian hotels I looked at do not.
Right beside the Blue Jays stadium and neat the CN Tower - a mere two minute walk away.
Also a stop for the City Tours is around the corner and the ticket is valid for a full 3 days.
Good sized rooms and very clean.

I fuelled up, got a car wash and left London in the morning, with my destination being this hotel. It was my 3rd visit, first by car (previous trips to Toronto by rail), and the beginning of the Labour Day weekend. I left my recently purchased auto with the valet and the spent the day/eve touring Toronto by foot/streetcar/taxi. I checked out around noon, requested my car to the valet service and was anxious to get out of town before the regular Friday mass exodus. The area in front of the hotel is/was very busy and (unfortunately) I did not take the time to look over the car carefully. About 15 minutes into the traffic gridlock, I had the leisure to look through the sunroof only to notice what appeared to be large water marks on it. While not impressed with the idea of spending $40 for a valet service to park my recently detailed car under something presumably leaking, I didn't give it much thought once I got home - I jumped in my tow vehicle with the boat in tow and headed to the lake for the long weekend. Upon returning, I took a couple pictures of the stains before proceeding to a touchless wash but the stain on the sunroom was still very evident. I proceeded to a self-serve wash and scrubbed what appeared to be calcium deposits. The washes did not remove the marks - I spent another 2 hrs at home with various cleaning products to remove them, and still have faint 'ghost' marks on the front fender. I sent the photos and story to the hotel manager and followed up with a phone call. Although she was polite and professional, she noted hotel policy that they will only consider claims made while still on the property. She ended the conversation with an expression of future 'consideration', and there has been no communication/action since. I'm not expecting any restitution at this point but I do offer this experience/review to other travellers as a point of caution and reference if it happens to you.

Following my third stay at this hotel I would still rate it as the best that I have stayed at. Huge rooms, huge (and comfortable) beds, good hearty breakfast and "nothing is too much trouble" staff. Location is great for the CN tower, not too far away from the Eaton Centre and other attractions. Highly recommended!

Room Tip: Perhaps the higher floors are quieter - but lower ones are not a problem...

Very rarely you get service that is the perfect mix between friendly and professional...but you do here! Everyone from the front desk staff to the breakfast service staff and the cleaners seem genuinely interested in making your stay the best possible. My company has business relationships with the King Edward, Royal York, Novotel and One King West, but I keep coming here even though it's farther from the office.

The suites are also very nice. While I never use the kitchen, I really like the space of the suites. having the desk, seating area, large bed and bathroom makes it less claustrophobic than other hotel rooms. There's also a very nice buffet breakfast that's included in the rate. It is a little farther if you're working in the financial district but great if you're visiting the city on vacation. The Rogers's centre and entertainment district are both a short walk.

My only recommendation would be to have a bigger, better equipped workout room, but this is easily compensated for by the pool and other benefits of the location.

Thank you MRI staff for another great stay!

After reading ratings and reviews, I booked a room at the Residence Inn in Downtown Toronto. The hotel was a convenient walk to the Convention Center, downtown and restaurant row. The room is spacious, well appointed. The staff was very helpful, hospitable.

This is an excellent choice if you are staying in downtown Toronto. The staff is genuinely friendly and just great to deal with. The Bartender is awesome (makes the best spicy nut mix). The rooms are spacious and you actually get a kitchenette. They are very clean and the beds are soft. A hot breakfast is available every day and is one of the best I've had. (I've stayed in a variety of hotels for business purposes and this breakfast ranks high among similar hotels).

King Street is one block away so there are lots of restaurant options. Queen Street is a few more blocks further and has great shopping. The hotel is adjacent to Blue Jays way so if you love baseball you can just walk to the stadium. By chance we were there during Nuit Blanche (an open air art exhibit) so that added a bit of interest. Overall, this is an excellent option at a great price. We will be back.

Booked one night here online randomly because we didn't like the last hotel we stayed in in Toronto (Intercontinental). Wanted two extra nights but Toronto is booked out so sadly can only have one night art this lovely place. Desk staff were great, especially Dwight; room is luxurious king studio with a full size, well-equipped kitchen; hot buffet breakfast with lots of options is included as is free WiFi and cable internet. Pool is small but clean and warm and gym is well-equipped. The hotel offers all kinds of lovely extras for free like social evenings and grocery shopping (you pay for the groceries!) The management here has really thought about what it is that makes travelling pleasant and comfortable. We want to move in. We would certainly stay here again when next we visit Toronto.
