Owner description: Since 1993, the Toronto Centre for the Arts (TCA) has welcomed thousands of visitors, patrons, performers and artists through its grand main entrance. The TCA began and remains as unique and diverse as the Toronto community itself, a testament to the virtues of harmony, vitality and celebration, with a spirit that embraces innovation and tradition equally. Located in the heart of the GTA, no other entertainment and arts facility is better positioned than the Toronto Centre for the Arts. It is easily accessible by major highways, arteries as well as the public transit system. Equidistant between the Sheppard and North York Centre TTC stations, the Centre's surrounding area boasts ample on-street and underground parking, and convenient special needs parking near the theatre entrance.

It's possible to see professional theatre in Toronto without travelling to the downtown core. The Toronto Centre for the Arts is a beautiful facility. It's easily accessible by bus and subway. If you're driving, you can park next door in a parking garage that is connected to the theatre for only $6 for the evening.

The main stage seems to cater to touring productions (2-3 week runs).

Even the refreshments are reasonably priced at intermission.

We saw the Addams Family Broadway show there and LOVED it. We loved the play and the venue. It's very classy and clean. You can't get a bad seat in the house, IMHO.

What i like about this facility is that even the balcony seats are good (say first 4 rows) and the sound quality is very good as well.

We were there for Remembrance Day observance (free) and enjoyed the experience with a group that included those who were elderly and with disabilities. No problem getting in and around whatsoever, from the north side accessible parking curbside to ramps and railings inside the building. There's Green P Parking out back, on Beecroft St.
Seats were well cushioned; sounds were clear, whether from the high school band, bagpipes from behind, or the lone trumpet playing taps.
Subway (North York Centre Station) proximity makes the hall easily reached from anywhere in Toronto. And the surroundings are chock full of shops and restaurants along the historic Yonge St., with the North York Civic Centre, Douglas Snow Aquatic Centre, and Toronto District School Board thrown in.
Ticketed events are not free.
