I walked from the Kensington Market to the Royal Ontario Museum during this last visit. To cut the distance I chose to walk through the main campus of the Uni. of Toronto. I loved the old architecture, the park settings, the quad and the wonderful variety of people I saw along the way. I had no idea of how long the walk took...only that it was pure pleasure!

Another building with the English architecture to remind their passing, well kept . Impressive for me was that, as our guide said, there are no fees at the University of Toronto.Maybe is a good opportunity for me at middleage to study in Canada.....but i have a problen with heavy winters and snow. The campus and surrandings , the wonderful grass....everything is perfect.

The campus itself is beautiful for a walk around, but literature enthusiasts should make the time to stop by the library. Within the library is the Fischer Rare Books Library which is definitely worth a visit. There is not a lot on close up display, but the room itself is very awe-inspiring. However, there is plenty of things of interest, especially for Canadian Literature fans. Even if books aren't entirely your thing, it is certainly beautiful.

Pretty campus. Check out the little pubs around the campus for a break in beer and drink prices! Cute shops too.

Many Hollywood films have been shot here - but that's not why you would want to visit UofT downtown campus. There are beautiful vintage buildings sprawling the city.
