We stayed there for 3 nights in total and thoroughly enjoyed the hotel. Upon arrival we were helped to our room via the fantastic central lift, a working remnant of the historic building. We stayed in the Canadiana room which, whilst quite interesting, wasn't the most inventive interior design I've ever seen. However, the room was a good size for a major city and whilst the AC worked fine, it would've been nice if the windows opened a little bit. The shower was pretty terrible, as it didn't fully switch from the bath tap supply to the shower nozzle, but there was always plenty of pressure/hot water.
Free coffee delivered to your room is a nice perk, and the dry-bar in the room has some really nice stuff, if somewhat overpiced.
The location is VERY far West and, as someone who like to walk cities, it's quite a trek from anywhere central, but the hotel can't change this and I should've realised prior to booking tbh!
Overall, it's a well designed hotel with some nice features in a great building. If you're driving, don't mind cabs, or are happy on the streetcars then the location is no problem.More
