Owner description: The Ed Mirvish Theatre began its life in 1920 as a combination vaudeville and motion picture theatre in the Pantages theatre circuit. With its original 3373 seats, it was the largest cinema in Canada and, with its lavish interior - designed by the great theatre architect Thomas Lamb - the most elegant. David Mirvish officially renamed the iconic building The Ed Mirvish Theatre on December 6, 2011.

Great sound and atmosphere. Great place to meet a new friend or chat with tourist during the intermission. All performances we visited were worth money.

Beautifully redone theatre but not great for people with disabilities.
A nice venue with great sightlines and acoustics.
Enjoy a great show!

A little tired looking. Could use a bit of a facelift. Although it does give the allurance of a very old theatre, one likes to feel somewhat comfortable when paying top price for something.

Bold and spectacular. The theatre was re done to bring it to it's former glory and I think that they surpassed their goal. Beautiful old building that adds reverence to any show seen there.

We had a girl's night watching some musical theatre (Bring it On) and had a great time, arriving late the asked us to watch on a little TV outside until the first scene was over so as to not disturb - architecture is beautiful - a lot of original architectural details, overall a lovely visit
