“Massey Hall holds much history”
Reviewed December 28, 2012

I've always had a good time at any event I've attended at Massey Hall, and if memory serves me correct -- back in the day my girlfriend sang in Toronto's citywide elementary schools' choir that performed at Massey Hall and said it was an amazing experience. Massey Hall is a great place for both the audience and performer/s!

“A Classic!”
Reviewed December 23, 2012

I have been attending concerts at Massey Hall since I was less than 10 years old beginning with the TSO children's series in the 60's and then graduating to a variety of artists and venues through the subsequent decades (folk, rock, blues, symphony etc). Although a bit faded and worn around the edges and with seats that have seen better days, this grand old hall is in a class of its own both for the elegance of the architecture and (more important) the quality of the sound/acoustics. Every seat in this house is a great seat! It has stood for over 100 years and I hope it is here for another hundred years so that subsequent generations can experience its incredible sound qualities as well as the grandeur of an age where wood, brass and detail was the hallmark of creative architecture (as opposed to the the cost effective, cold, minimalist cubism approach that dominates the design of most public and private building structures today in Toronto.

“One of the best venue for acoustics in North America”
Reviewed December 18, 2012

I don't think there's a bad seat in the place! have seen countless acts and all have been great - mainly due to incredible acoustics.

“Old & great”
Reviewed December 10, 2012

I went for Sara Mclachlan's concert there and loved it so much. The place is old and dirty BUT it's really great to watch a show or concert that you want to get the cheapest seats for. we could see everything since it is not a huge hall. Just be aware that some seats' view was obstructed by the huge speakers ( seats closer to the scene) and narrow columns ( they are every where but not a huge problem to me ) .

“Wow!!”
Reviewed December 8, 2012

Beautiful time here. The event of course is what makes it, but what a beautiful building.

Do not pass something up here, find something that interests you and go for it.
