Not too many cities can say they have a Flatiron building. This is indeed a unique architectural feat. Interesting corner to stand at and photograph, with the CN Tower and Office Towers in the background.

a really interesting and unique building in the heart of Toronto...I always loved looking at it. It's even weirder if you manage to get inside it.

I am originally from New York, so it has always bugged me that this is called "the Flatiron Building". The New York original was a major advance in construction and design, and a whole bigger than this place. Other than being similarly shaped, due to the convergence of two streets at an oblique angle, there is nothing in any way remarkable about this building. There is a nice enough small park at which one can eat lunch behind it, but then it doesn't even look like a flatiron from that angle.

This is a brilliant spot from which to take a scenic photo of the downtown core and the CN tower. Not to mention that a trop here gets you write by the St. Lawrence Market.

You will find photo's of this building everywhere... easy to walk around in all seasons to take your own photo. I like night time shots when there are less cars and people around. Close to the market, the subway or streetcar and lots of other things to do and see in the neighbourhood.
