I live one block away and often shop there...it is the Toronto Gay Village but others like myself go there to shop....cheese shop has amazing grilled cheese sandwiches....the old Maple Leaf Gardens of hockey legend has just reopened as a huge grocery store and is on the corner of Church and Carlton...best store in Toronto and amazing take out...you can eat in too and sit on the old hockey seats...also has a Joe Fresh store...Church Street is not just for gays...do not miss it

The Church street area is the site of Pride, a week long festival in Toronto. Be sure to take in the Pride parade.

it's just that a street that runs throught the city some area's are really not nice & parts of it runs through the Gay village. Regent park is low income area that the city is trying to change with new condo's
