Owner description: The Distillery District is an internationally acclaimed village of brick-lined streets and dozens of vibrantly restored Victorian Industrial buildings. It’s one of Ontario’s hottest tourist attractions and home to live theatres, galleries, fashion, design and jewelry boutiques, unique cafes and award-winning restaurants. It’s all completely closed to traffic and just a few minutes walk from downtown Toronto.

“Neat area.”
Reviewed December 5, 2013

Very nice shopping area. It was out of the way and not convenient to walk to from downtown. But once we arrived, it was a nice area to stroll. Neat shops and restaurants.

“Old fashion Christmas”
Reviewed December 5, 2013

The Distillery Christmas Market is awesome! You will think you've stepped back in time. The lights, comfy seats and fire pits setup so you can mingle along a cobblestone lane with your hot coco or hot egg nog outside is just what an Ontario winter should look like. The shops had lots of unusal and great gifts too. A definite must see especially during the Christmas season.

“5 Points for Christmas Festival at the Distillery District”
Reviewed December 2, 2013

The Distillery District hosts a European Christmas Market every December. My boyfriend and I were in town and went. The festival is a bit kitchy but also a lot of fun. They have carolers, Santa, lots of christmasy stands and food stalls. They also have beer gardens and mulled wine. In addition to the Christmas festival, the Distillery District is an old neighborhood that has been renovated and filled with nice shops and restaurants. A stroll through the area is necessary, especially if there during the Christmas Market!

“Spirited walk!”
Reviewed December 2, 2013 via mobile

Actually I didn't have any sample drinks as we drove down from Mississauga. The Christmas Market was packed and that kept the place warm! Every stall had something different to offer. Overall the whole place screamed of Christmas!
Go there prepared to spend money if you want to have a good time.

There was the Carousel and Ferris wheel for daring kids.

Finding a place to park is going to be testing but it all depends on if it happens to be your lucky day. We had to make do with a private parking lot just adjacent to the Distillery Parking and paid $20.

This place is a perfect place for couples looking for some romance in winter!
