Owner description: The Distillery District is an internationally acclaimed village of brick-lined streets and dozens of vibrantly restored Victorian Industrial buildings. It’s one of Ontario’s hottest tourist attractions and home to live theatres, galleries, fashion, design and jewelry boutiques, unique cafes and award-winning restaurants. It’s all completely closed to traffic and just a few minutes walk from downtown Toronto.

A wonderful place to visit, especially in summer with baskets of beautiful flowers where ever one looks at, excellent restaurants (Tappo is my favourite), interesting shops and of course the Theatres!

“Nice area”
Reviewed October 15, 2013

We walked to the Distillery District from our hotel (College and Younge) and it took up about a half hour. Our first stop was the St. Lawerence market, then over to the distillery. Great place to have lunch or just window shop.

“Small town feel”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

There are small shops and places to eat. Kinda on the boring side. Not for kids at all, nothing for them.

“Fun destination and a great use of a historic landmark”
Reviewed October 14, 2013

My wife and I visited Toronto recently, and the Distillery District was one of our stops during our exploration of the city. It's a very cool use of the historic distillery, boasting restaurants, artisan shops, museums, and boutique shopping. It's definitely worth a visit if you're in Toronto.

Tip: Also visit the St. Lawrence Market, particularly if you can get there during the farmer's market on Saturday morning. It's not a long walk from the Distillery District, so they make a great combination.
