Owner description: The Distillery District is an internationally acclaimed village of brick-lined streets and dozens of vibrantly restored Victorian Industrial buildings. It’s one of Ontario’s hottest tourist attractions and home to live theatres, galleries, fashion, design and jewelry boutiques, unique cafes and award-winning restaurants. It’s all completely closed to traffic and just a few minutes walk from downtown Toronto.

“Walk, window shop and sip on hot cocoa”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Went here and took some photographs of the area. Walked into some interesting shops and then sipped on some hot cocoa from Soma. This is a wonderful area to see, so many interesting things. I like to go there every now and then when visiting my sister, did I mention the hot cocoa?

“A real treasure!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 10, 2013

Drove past this place for years then they opened it up and I discovered a jewel. Supposedly the finest collection of Victorian Industrial Buildings in N.America. Marvelous theatre, great restaurants and lots of music. The best place for an evening meal in the summer and I always take out of town visitors for lunch at Pure Spirits. In December I just returned from visiting a Christmas Market in Europe only to find one in the Distllery, I love hot mulled wine!

“Lots to do every time of year”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

The warmer times are more fun, as more vendors and performers are out, but this district is amazing for a good walk around. There are tons of art galleries, art studios, quirky stores, great restaurants, and it is the oldest Victorian building complex in Canada (maybe North America). Many films are shot there, as the brick work and architecture are beautiful.

“Make sure to visit”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed April 8, 2013

There are lots of choices to have many beers, some of which are sure to please your pallet. The one thing about Canada, you will be very hard pressed to find a happy hour with discounted drinks anywhere throughout the country.
