Description: The Roy is an Irish pub in the heart of Leslieville. A friendly local, proudly owned by locals. Pub fare favourites, import, craft and local draughts and a Scotch or Irish whiskey to suit any taste. Pop in for a pint after work, a burger at lunch, or prime rib dinner Sunday evening. Our cozy, conversation-friendly atmosphere has become home to many neighbourhood regulars who return time and again to enjoy a quiet pint by the window, or delve into a world-saving conversation around the bar.

Get there early if you want the roast. We've been a few times now and have been disappointed once when we were too late and the roast was sold out. Great beer choices, it is a pub after all. The server always makes you feel at home, which makes roast night for me. Try the deep fried mars bar at least once, with ice cream of course, but my favourite dessert is the sticky toffee. I want to visit Scotland now if this is the kind of food and service I could get there.

The Roy is a neighborhood hang-out in the Leslieville section of Toronto. My wife and I went there as the last stop on a culinary walking tour given by Culinary Adventure Co. They have great local beer, a nice English-pub style atmosphere, and if you stop in there on any given evening, you'll probably be joined by a bunch of friendly local people. So bone up on your knowledge of the local sports teams (Go Leafs!), order a pint or two, and join the conversation!
