Description: Sabai Sabai Kitchen & Bar serves up deliciously authentic tapas style dishes from Northern Thailand and Laos in a relaxed, cool and casual setting. Enjoy Asian inspired cocktails and popular dishes such as crispy fried fish with tamarind sauce or the signature Khao Soi noodles with a cold BeerLao at the only restaurant in Canada exclusively importing this Laotian favourite.

My husband and I were very pleasantly surprised by the wonderful flavors at this new Thai restaurant which was recommended by a friend who works in the neighbourhood. Their Tom Yum noodle soup with shrimp was just spicy enough and full of flavor - yum :). The mock fish dish was also very delicious. Prompt service and great food at reasonable prices - a great find in downtown Toronto.

I adore Seng & Jason and their team at Sabai Sabai. As a SE Asian woman, it is very difficult to find authentic northern Thai/Lao food anywhere in Toronto. Most of the time I need to make it myself. Most Thai places try to cater to a western palates and lose the boldness and fresh flavours.

Sabai Sabai instead offers a rich sample of Thai/Lao food which highlights the delicate balance between sweet, salty and spicy flavours which should be in every SE Asian dish. Chef Nuit Regular offers dishes you won't find in her other restaurants. Even vegetarians/vegans can eat here with several specially made vegan dishes. Most thai/lao food has fish sauce so kudos to Jason and Seng for offering a great range. Sabai Sabai has sticky rice and laap (beef or pork salads) too name just a few of the dishes.

Sabai Sabai also makes innovative cocktails and will soon have Beer Lao! Beer Lao is not offered anywhere in Toronto (or Ontario for that matter). If you've ever been to SE Asia and miss the flavours - this is the resto to visit.

We found this restaurant online, and it was amazing! The place was packed on a Friday night, but after we told the staff we had just arrived from the airport and were looking forward to trying their food out. They totally went out of their way to accommodate us. We promised to eat and run, as there were many reservations coming soon they sat us down at a 6 seat community table. We had the Thai mojito that was truly scrumptious. The menu at night is all share plates which was right up our alley. Unfortunately they had already run out of a few items that our table mates had recommended but what we ordered was fabulous. Truly a party of flavours. The spicy papaya salad was fresh and bursting with crisp flavour. The crispy pork was not greasy and totally delicious. We also had the red flame morning glory which was so addictive we couldn't stop eating it. The pad thai was excellent too. The atmosphere was minimal and modern. The staff very busy but extremely helpful. All round an excellent dinner.
