My husband and I had a mid-week dinner for the first time at Joey's Yorkdale location about a week ago and we will definitely return. The place itself is gorgeous -- love the modern-mixed-with-rustic look! The service was attentive and the servers themselves very classy and well put together. The food was good, I suppose it's your typical Milestones-Moxie's type of fare, but nonetheless tasty, well-portioned and not over-priced (although not cheap either; expect to pay about $17-$20 for a main). I took advantage of their daily drink special (Bellini for $4) and I was not disappointed -- it was delicious (although, a word of warning, it is a small glass, no bucket-of-Bellini like in Pickle Barrell)! I would recommend this restaurant for a nice romantic pre-movie dinner as well as for a chill evening out with friends.

Came here with friends for dinner for the first time. The place it self designed very beautifully, elegant and modern.

We ordered 2 different starters which was VERY good, actually much better than we expected and after that we ordered another of the same starter because it was so good.

Each had a different main dish and again all of them where VERY good.

The menu is built from a lot of different cuisines, from Asian to steaks. Of course we didnt try it all but our dishes where amazing and it looked like other people around us had good time as well.

The price is very reasonable, not too expensive and not too cheap.

If you are in the area i strongly suggest you visiting this place.

I've been here about 4 times now. Try the rainbow rolls or the fish tacos. Service is uber friendly and they seem to have twice the staff of regular place.

My boyfriend and I arrived at Joey's for a late night dinner after 11:00pm. My first impression was how modern and gorgeous the place is. Two floors, a nice bar area with tvs, and the dining area was nice as well. We dined upstairs, the hostess was very accommodating, seating us in a corner booth where we asked. Our server was very friendly and helpful, suggesting their best meals. We both opted for steak dinners, medium well. My boyfriends steak was more medium rare so he complained and they were more then happy to make him a new one after an apology. I wasn't overly impressed with my meal, although the steak was very good and cooked to my liking, the side of grilled vegetables were a very small portion. Next to nothing which I was very surprised with. I also got mashed potatoes which I knew were not traditional when I first ordered but was NOT happy with them at all. I would have loved to have a side of regular mashed potatoes but what I got was a fried, cone shaped ,crusty outter shell with a little potatoe inside. It basically tasted like hash brown. Something I would eat for breakfast, not as a side with my steak dinner. The best part of Joey's is the free wine tasting! You can ask to try a variety of different wines. Two at a time per person. We each had six small cups and got to try out all amazing wines which was fun! Overall I would definitely return here and try out a different meal. The place is definitely a hot spot, it was busy when we went but it's also an average place, food wise, nothing I haven't seen at Moxies or other places.
