Tried Patria a couple of weeks ago. It was a nice change from your typical restaurants. We sat on the second floor, nice table but a bit warm all night. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. The paea was excellent as was the rib eye steak. A bit pricey but worth it.

Thank Monica b

We went last week and had a fantastic time at Patria
The decor : large paintings and open space create a real convivial space.

We started with sparkiling zesty wine
We gave our waiter carte blanche and told him to bring us the house specialties ;shared dishes (TAPAS!)
Starters: hot pimentos- grilled peppers that were delicious yet too spicy for my palette, fried cheese that my dinner companions nodded with full mouths were yum! We had a plate of serrano - which was delightful... but the star(s) was the plate of iberico ham (which I could have easily scarfed down by.my.self. )
Mains: black cod- cooked and seasoned perfectly. It was another dish I wish I didnt have to share ;)
What blew us all away : the rib eye steak ! WOW! paired with sides of asparagus , was just happiness! (I believe we stood up and clapped!..and clapped and clapped...)
Maybe it was the ambiance of such a fun lively place, or the wait staff who presented the dishes perfectly, or perhaps it was the jugs of the very very very yummy sangria that made us all feel so happy (in our bellies and in our hearts!)

Patria is a must eat destination when in Toronto. Its great for groups! A guarenteed fun and lively time!
PS the bathrooms are also stunning! the intricate mosaico pattern on the floor ; beautiful!

A friend and I went to Patria January 4th to celebrate my birthday. We had an unreal experience there. Daniel, the manager made sure that our first time at this restaurant would be memorable and it definitely was. The server was knowledgable about the wines, let us know about all the dishes (every one of them was amazing) and we left promising ourselves that we would come back for more. We'll be going back in a few weeks...can't wait!

Wonderful restaurant. Fantastic food, great & knowledgeable service, very good Spanish wines. Ordered the paella when we arrived as it takes time. Didn't disappoint. Black cod, bacon dates were all fabulous as we're everything we ordered. Big space and great vibe.

A little hard to find in an alley off King Street but good food. The choices aren't plentiful but they are tasty. Butter lettuce salad, bacon-wrapped dates, figs with baked cheese. The chorizo was disappointing only that it was lonely on it's own on a plate, just small slices with nothing else. The serrano was excellent as was the garlic shrimp. The best was the steak with roasted garlic and the red wine reduction was fantastic.

The service was very good. Marvin, and old friend from Oliver & Bonacini was as good as ever.

The down side is the room is so noisy you can hardly hear yourself think never mind your fellow diners conversation.
