Excellent meal with innovative Chefs who care about the planet, sourcing foods from within the Greenbelt. There is a chalk board as well as a regular menu, but we got outstanding value with a $55 ++ tasting menu where we asked the Chef to feed us. He took account of allergies and preferences and the food kept coming.

We overindulged a bit from a shortish wine list, leaving the second selection to the Wine Manager.

So ultimately a bit pricey, but our fault for blowing out. Certainly well worth it. The place was busy all night and they achieve what they set out to do, which is to be a great neighbourhood resto.

“Great food & great service”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

We had dinner at Richmond Station on a Saturday evening. We took a chance and called from the hotel at the last minute and were told that they were all booked up. The person that answered the phone suggested that if we could get there within 10 minutes they might be able to squeeze us in. When we arrived the place was packed, but we were lucky and we did get a table for 2! We ordered a bottle of wine $55.00 ( average price) and a couple of appetizers. I had the butternut squash soup and my dinner companion ordered the duck liver pate. Both were excellent! Our main course choices were the chilli & fennel sausage pasta and the smoked trout. Both were delicious. We shared a dessert and decided against coffee or tea. Our total bill for two was $165 and it included wine, taxes and tip. Our server was very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is laid out on two levels. The second level has a very large cut out in the wall that opens directly on to the kitchen. Beneath it runs a counter where patrons can sit overlooking the kitchen and meal preparation. As you can imagine, this area is somewhat noisy, so this may not be the place to go if you are looking for quiet and intimate. The decor is minimal/ modern, and we noticed lots of people in the 20-40 age range. A fun trendy place to eat.

“Delightful!!!”
Reviewed November 25, 2013

We live in northern Ontario, so we like to try to find interesting places to try when we are travelling. This was fabulous. The food was delicious - the service was friendly and casual. We each had a different meal and all of us (including my 85 year old MIL) enjoyed our meal. My husband and son shared the carcuterie platter to start and raved about it. I had a butter tart with cream and coffee ice cream for dessert. I will definitely return when I can. I recommend getting a reservation.

“The most divine hamburger is only the start”
Reviewed November 22, 2013

Went for my hubby's birthday dinner last night - it was wonderful. We had a hard time getting a reservation, but in the end they got us in. The service was lovely and attentive, but the real star is the food.

Oysters - fresh and briny, probably some of the best I've had in the city.
Scallop tostados - innovative, with just the right amount of crunch and flavour.
Kimchi Sweet Potato Chips - they were fabulous - spicy, hot, inventive

In fact inventive, creative, innovative and delicious described our dinner. Hubby had the smoked trout which was great. I had the divine hamburger. We had desert. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it.

“Intimate restaurant great food”
Reviewed November 17, 2013

We had dinner at Richmond Station on a Friday night and it was packed so make reservations. They have regular tables and also high tops. The menu was extensive with lots of daily specials and a great wine list. I had a lobster appetizer which was nice and light with an all meat entree. My husband had a burger stuffed with short ribs. All yummy! The clientele seemed to be in their 20's and 30's and well dressed but not fancy. Fun lively place.
