Description: Located in the flagship Four Seasons Hotel Toronto, Café Boulud, by Chef Daniel Boulud, serves a soulful menu deeply rooted in French tradition, set in the style of a lively French brasserie, and inspired by Chef Daniel's family's meals in Lyon. The kitchen boasts a gleaming rotisserie-the only one of its kind in downtown Toronto-with both vertical and horizontal spits allowing for simultaneous cooking of meat, poultry, fish and vegetables. The menu features the best French classics, as well as unexpected items inspired by Chef Daniel's curiosity and love for travel. The playfully retro-modern restaurant designed by Martin Brudnizki, located in the iconic Yorkville neighborhood, includes a dining counter and private dining room for up to eight guests. The dining room is warm and comfortable, defined by a wraparound bar and intimate, low-banquette seating.

“Delicious summerlicious lunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

Our summerlicious lunch started off with Chicken Galantine and the Marinated Squid Salad , both of which were beautifully presented and tasted delicious.
The mains consisting of Mediterranean Sea Bass with cocoa bean and cucumber salad, as well as Roasted Cumbrae Beef, with tuscan potatoes and salsa verde, were cooked to perfection.
For dessert, the Tonka Bean Sundae was divine and the Chocolate Gateau served with limoncello sorbet, was delightful.
The ambience was relaxing , service was quick and our server was attentive, making it a very pleasant experience.

“Excellent (again!)”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 19, 2013

I went here for Summerlicious with 3 of my co-workers and they did not dissapoint! For $25 we were actually served the dinner menu I think (vs. the lunch one posted online) I ordered something with tomatoes to start- very fresh and light. For the main, I ordered the Roasted Cumbrae Beef which was lovey, and a great portion size. For dessert, I ordered the tonka bean sundae which was very nice. I really enjoy this place- from the decor and artwork, to the service which is excellent. My only ish is that the cheapest glass of wine is like $17 which is a little crazy! And- I will admit it- I have to google some of the menu items names to see what they are!

Would I return? Absolutely!

“Not Impressed”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 15, 2013

My husband and I were at Cafe Boulud for brunch recently to celebrate a special occasion. Even though I wanted to love the food i have to say I left a bit disappointed. The food was essentially classic french. I was hoping for a slightly more innovative menu. French cuisine can be contemporary. Even though the portion sizes were appropriate the menu choices left me feeling heavy and uncomfortable. Definitely, not value for money! I will not be going back.

“Amazing product”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

The salmon was indeed fresh and the dashi sauce they put on it made it delicious. Halibut had a wonderful flavor as did the steak with the bone marrow. Do not hesitate to ask for help with wines- they will match your profile

“Incredible evening”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 9, 2013

Had easily one of the best dinners and dates of my life here, and Jordan the sommelier himself deserves a top review for making the evening what it was. Everything on the menu was delicious, the atmosphere of the restaurant was perfect for intimacy, and it was by no means crowded. Didn't even mind the passed out patriarch of the large Chinese family near us.
