The TIFF has a number of interesting attractions, including for kids! Their kids exhibit has amazing technological interactive and creative activities that are an absolute riot for adults too. There is a wonderful library upstairs at which you can request to watch any film in their catalogue at a personal station. There is a local archaeological history section from when they excavated the site and discovered all kinds of interesting artifacts (also located by the library). I got a tour of some of the items they have in the back, too, including amazing props and over 10,000 posters. This must be a great resource for researchers.
All of the staff were very helpful, kind and interesting people.
I was there for a special event, so I don't know what their regular programming is like, but the theatre itself was very comfortable. The kids festival was going on at the same time and that looked excellent.

If you're an artsy film buff, then this place is for you! They play a lot of movies that aren't as mainstream most of the time. There is also a free museum dedicated to film on the top level. They also regularly feature special exhibits that are quite interesting - some free, some not. Depends on what it is. When I went, the James Bond exhibit was on which wasn't free and at the same time, they had the X-Men exhibit which featured all the props used in the film which was free. This year, in the summer, they're going to have a free Game of Thrones exhibit which will feature the replica of the throne and movie props!

We decided to visit the TIFF Bell Lightbox yesterday to discover what digiPLAYSPACE had to offer. It was excellent! The areas of interest were all in working order, they had facilitators at almost every station to help you make the most of your experience. It was so well organized and impressive.
