We booked this with Choice Hotels and got a great price. It is right opposite Ryerson University and as mentioned inn other reviews within walking distance of the Eaton Center and Dundas Subway. The rooms are very nicely renovated, the hotel being an older building. They have retained some of the charm by keeping the original staircase. We were on the top floor, 4 story building and I would not wanted a room in the basement. The breakfast room was down there and there are windows but they had to out lighting in the windows to brighten the room. You get free internet in your room which is rare at hotels in downtown Toronto. The breakfast had choices of waffles, scrambled and hard boiled eggs, cereals and fresh fruit-apples and oranges. We were 2 nights and didn't have to repeat which was nice. The lobby is small but very welcoming with a fireplace and seating area. Our room had a fridge and microwave. Great for leftovers and storing drinks. There is a mini- mart directly across the street. Our room faced a brick wall, no view but very quiet for sleeping. We would definitely use this hotel again.

Room Tip: If you can handle the stairs take a 4th floor room.

Comfort Inn City Centre is a nice newly renovated three store hotel with small but comfortable and modern rooms. It's a bit pricey but worth the money if you cherish good night sleep and want to explore the city by walking. For example 15 minutes walk to bus station and the restaurants nearby and 25 minutes to Hockey Hall of Fame

Room Tip: The street in front of the hotel isn't too busy but asking for a room away from the street gives...

This is a very small hotel and very small rooms. I was alone on business but if my wife was along we would have been crowded. The rooms are all reasonably new and the fit and finish is lovely. The halls are narrow and I have never experienced a slower elevator in my life. If you have space issues you would not make it in this elevator. There is no parking and the closest parking is 1.5 blocks away making check in and out a challenge with luggage. I stayed one night and it was good value for single traveler with a Breakfast included. On balance the parking was offputting enough that I will not go back. If they had an arrangement with a nieghbour lot maybe that would help but you are on your own as it stands now. Staff were fine and helpful location is Ok to downtown but you could do better. Major issues are size of room and parking.

Room Tip: I think they are all similar?

Nicely renovated, three story hotel. Lobby is modern looking. Beds were comfortable and room had a large flat screen tv. but temperature hard to regulate and was too hot with the cooling system on in the winter. Small eating area with microwave and fridge. View was of a brick wall but for the price very easy to overlook. There is no parking on-site but other choices are: indoor/outdoor parking at the Ramada down the street for $25/ day, public lot just south of Dundas for $15 or if you time it right free parking overnight on the street. Breakfast was ok. Waffles are cook your own and microwaved eggs/ bacon offered. Location is just a couple of blocks from shopping and lots of restaurants in the area to choose from. Will stay here again.

The hotel looks newly renovated, and the lobby and rooms were great. The room was large enough, not crowded even with a table and two chairs, and a kitchenette type area. Bathroom was a good size, and lovely. Beds were comfortable, with loads of pillows. Using best parking.com we found parking only a few blocks away for under $15 for the 24 hours we were going to be there.
A couple of blocks east of Yonge St. and the subway system makes it really central and easy to get around.

Room Tip: Fourth floor made street sounds undetectable.

Well the first thing to mention is no parking lot, we had to park 2 blocks down and it was $25.00 daily. The rooms were clean and we were a group of 13, so our rooms were close to each other. That was nice. The front desk attendants were very nice. Actually Ly, was super helpful and went out of his way to be kind and courteous to us! The breakfast was ok, and we utilized it both mornings. We were there to visit Hockey Hall of Fame and walked the 1.5 miles to it, as it was in the city and parking was not easily had. All in all, our visit to Toronto was a success.

This hotel is a bit of an odd duck. I don't know what it used to be, but it seems to have been repurposed in some way. The hallways are a little shabby but my room was surprisingly nice and new looking. comfy bed, desk in a separate area, new tile in the bath, flatscreen TV. Staff tried to please; when my room wasn't ready they opened the business center so I could have a place to work. I found the room totally comfortable. Now the neighborhood...hmm. OK, it's not the best but it's not scary and dangerous as some have said. You don't want to go north, not even one block. But stay on the busy street where the hotel is located, or walk toward downtown, and you are fine. I'm a single woman and did not feel unsafe. NO parking at the hotel; they recommended a garage for $25/day. Eeek. I found parking on the street right around the corner. You have to pay for parking every 3 hours during the day and early evening but unless you are leaving your car for a long period it's better than $25/day. Parking is quite an issue in this city and the traffic is brutal.
