“Great Location & Decent price for Toronto”
Reviewed June 9, 2014

Compared to what everything else costs in TO it was a decent deal and right in the middle of everything. Plan ahead they book up 100% all of the time. Can't go wrong with the location and the rooms are pretty large.

I am really picky when it comes to hotels so my grievances some may consider simple. The hotel staff were polite..I mean that's all I can say. I wouldn't say that they made the stay extremely enjoyable but they were polite. We expected a room with a kitchenette however we were upgrade and the room that we were given had no kitchenette. The room was clean not as clean as I would expect but not dirty. There was a ironing board but no iron. The street noise was pretty bad however the location was next door to the Eaton Centre and St Michaels hospital so the drunken people and other characters would be heard from our room. Also the room doors did not lock properly be sure to slam the door shut and hard as I came back one day to find my door ajar. Also the elevator down did not work so we had to push the up door and wait for a empty car. Overall the hotel was decent and I would stay again although I wouldn't book it for a special occasion

Dear Hotel Junkie2014, I would like to apologize on behalf of the Pantages Hotel for your less than positive experience during your recent stay with us. I have passed your concerns on to the Executive Housekeeper and her team. We have fixed the lock on the door, it now closes tight. Please contact me directly when you’re looking to come back down town. Again, I apologize that we did not meet your expectations. Warm Regards, Ragnar Pedersen, General Manager Pantages Hotel Toronto

This is very convenient place to approach all happening places around, "Dundas square" just few minutes walking distance from this hotel is the most happening place like Newyork time square. Eaton centre is just 3 min walk, the largest mall having many brands for shopping.
Staff is excellent, rooms are decently large.
Close to public transport queens station or Dundas station makes it convinent place to reaxh all. Major attractions of Toronto.
Toronto zoo is about 1.40 hour from this location.
Over all a very convenient location for all categories family, business, friends...

This was my first stay at this facility. Great location for quick access to St. Michael's Hospital.
Arrival went smoothly with a very competent valet who then greeted me by name each time he saw me.
Facility shows wear and tear. The 'lobby' is a corridor to a small counter. The two rooms that we rented were clean spacious. The beds were comfortable. The lighting in the bathrooms was not good enough for makeup application I am told; it was on the dim side for shaving too.
The noise level was much lower than I expected.
Paying for WiFi is annoying when most hotels include it but that was made clear in advance.
At check out I was told that receipts would only be available from Expedia because I had booked via them. So far no receipts and in retrospect the answer makes no sense.
I would only stay there again only if the need for proximity to the hospital dictated it. Equal or better hotels abound nearby at similar or better rates.

Stayed on 17th floor, windows open with filtered sound of Toronto below. Great location. Walked to Chinatown, Kensington Market, Distillery District, St. Lawrence Market and Bloor Street all from this location. Try Fran's Diner right on corner. Clean and spacious room. Great valet parking. Loved it

Room Tip: Stay on higher floor. Filtered sound of city awesome!

This hotel was very clean and relaxing. We chose this hotel because we thought we were going to see The Lion King at the Ed Mervish Theatre which is right next to it. It turned out, it was playing at the Princess of Whales Theatre. But the hotel was so central it was very easy to get to our destination. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The mini bar and snack tray was well stocked. We would definitely stay there again. The only complaint I have is the pillows were way too soft.

In general, this is a very nice hotel. The location is excellent (2 minute walk to the Eaton Centre and Yonge Street) and is a great base for visiting downtown Toronto. We booked through a third party booking agent, but details had not been sent through to hotel reception. The staff were very helpful and after some investigation, they upgraded us free of charge to a large corner suite on the 15th floor, so we were very happy with the service and thrilled with the size of the room. Unfortunately there were a few things that let this hotel down- furniture is rather tired (lots of scuffs and scratches here and there), bathroom suite needs replacing (large crack in the sink), paint work was worn in the room and corridors. Worse than this however was the cleanliness- there was a pair of tights on the floor, clearly from a previous guest and the room was visibly dusty! It seemed to us as if the bare minimum had been done in terms of housekeeping. A little disappointing, but all in all an enjoyable stay.
