I won the stay at The Pantages Hotel in a silent auction....was so pleased!! It was a beautiful weekend getaway from the kids. The hotel is beautiful and in the best location downtown. It was a short distance for dining, across the street from Massey Hall so after the show a brief walk and we are back. The hotel suite was incredible, notably the best hotel we've stayed in!! Looking forward to going back but this time for a longer stay :) I give Pantages a 5 star rating!

Stayed for business had some meetings downtown during my stay but nothing too much. Spent a lot of my time within the hotel. Rooms were par but not anything extravagant. Comfortable beds and my floor was quiet for the most part. Room service was good quality and attendant was very personable. Spent a few nights in the martini bar, staff and service were fantastic. One thing put me off though, there was a dog in the bar. Not right inside but at the entrance. The man who apparently owned the dog was obnoxious and tried several times to speak to me about his personal life. I am a female and I didn't appreciate this at all. He was graphic and almost seemed homeless. It was evident that the staff were aware of his usual demeanor and they tried to situate me else where in the bar inadvertently so as to avoid this man. I found a hair from his dog in my napkin roll of cutlery I'm assuming. Other than that the stay was nice. Would not go back to the martini bar for the pure fact that this man and his DOG may be there....

We wanted a hotel close to Massey Hall as we were in Toronto for one night to see a show. The Pantages was perfect. Quick access to everything. The best part was Pella at the front desk : ) She gave us suggestions for supper and after-dinner drinks. At her recommendation we ate at Osteria (fabulous) and later went to The Jazz Bistro - very cool.
