Stayed here on a business trip, overall I would say it was a okay experience. The location was brilliant being right next to Eaton shopping centre it was easy to find my partner a gift. Staff were welcoming and polite only thing that let me down was a noisy Neighbour, had me awake at silly hours, also the bed seemed to give me a slight back ache but whether that was due to me missing my own bed I do not know! Will be back in Toronto in July this time on a personal trip, will defo be considering Pantages as an option.

My wife and I decided to stay at the Pantages because it looked like a cool boutique hotel in a great location in Toronto. They did not disappoint. The rooms were well done, the bed was very comfortable with high end bedding. The best part was the included (available in a package) breakfast. It was top notch. Fresh fruit, fresh brewed coffee, smoked salmon, granola - and optional ordered items like eggs. The hotel is situated in a very good location, just steps away from the Eaton Centre. The subway is just around the corner.

There are negatives to this hotel, but they may just be personal dislikes. Firstly, I do NOT like paying for Wifi. I assume any hotel should have wifi available free. Is this a Toronto thing? As well, please add HDTV. There is no reason to have to watch stretched analog tv on a widescreen television. The corridors are relatively dingy, and our room backed on a lane way and it was somewhat noisy early in the morning due to garbage pickup. Parking is limited, but we used the valet parking which allows unlimited in/out privileges.

Overall, I liked my stay at the Pantages. I would go back. It was good value for the money.

Room Tip: Thursday is garbage day. If Wednesday night, choose rooms higher up.

While there is nothing wrong with the hotel per se, it's definitely not 4 stars as it appears in Expedia. The room was a converted apartment with old and beaten up furniture. Bed was comfortable. Really nothing inspiring at all.

I just stayed 3 nights at this wonderful hotel. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Always greeted us with a smile. The room was very spacious, modern and clean. The location is ideal, about a minute or two walk to The Eaton Center and the subway station at Dundas Square. I would definitely stay here again.

This isn't the first time I stayed here and likely won't be the last. We stayed with the 3 nights 30% off special and the staff were pleasant, the room was clean and I enjoyed the extra vanity area as well as full sized fridge and stove top, microwave etc - great for eating and cooking a portion of your travel meals in the hotel. The martini bar served great martini's and you are just steps away from Massey Hall, Eaton Centre and really central to all fun spots in DT Toronto. They used to have nightly turn down service with bottles of water and meditation stones but we didn't get that this time, too bad. I tried the spa too. It was pretty good as well.

unfortunately I waited with my car in the middle of the street for over 20 minutes to find out the valet staff was on break with no back up.... they came out only after I Googled and found phone number and phoned the hotel... all this for a rate of $34/night which ends up more like $40 with taxes... and not really any kind of apology
a nice system on the tv to order room service - WRONG - after waiting 45 minutes, i phoned to find out where my food was... and they said the system does not work! the food came later but again no effort to apologize or compensate....
too much money for this kind of service - I know things go wrong but then customer service should step in and set things right....
on top of this the room was very very HOT
I dont usually write bad reviews but 3 strikes!
then on check out the staff person hardly spoke to me and did not even say "how was your stay?"
DONE

Room Tip: cute rooms, effective use of space... bring supplies as there is a small kitchenette and frig - save...

Dear Mary,
Thank you for taking the time to write about your recent visit to Pantages Hotel on Trip Advisor. We’re sorry to hear that you had to wait for valet service. This uncharacteristic of our valet staff as we take great pride in ensuring our guests are greeted promptly at the entrance to the hotel. After investigating your concern regarding the delivery of the food, we determined that the system was down; the system has since been checked and is now operational. I also apologize that the server made no effort to apologize or compensate you. . Ii is my hope that should you find yourself in Toronto again that you would consider trying our sister property the Cosmopolitan Hotel. Please feel free to contact me directly at the Pantages Hotel should you have any other questions or concerns. Sincerely Ragnar Pedersen, General Manager, Pantages
