They've done it again with a great cast!! The chemistry between the performers was perfect. Very well written show! I love the Harlem Shake spoof! Too funny!!

Why thank you! (blush). Sounds like you saw a preview for our Spring 2013 Revue. The "Harlem Shake" sketch only lasted a week. We like to keep things fresh, and that fad had a short life. Come back and see the finished show, "The Meme-ing of Life"!

“Great all around experience”
Reviewed February 25, 2013

Had alot of fun. You can't be shy since you share tables with people you don't know. Not a great food menu, so don't go hungry. Beer was average priced and service wasn't as slow as i thought it would be.

“Unacceptable seating situation, lackluster show”
Reviewed February 24, 2013

Completely crowded with some seats simply making it impossible to be comfortable and to enjoy the show. They like to stuff in as many people as possible in this place to maximize return per square foot - the whole "convivial atmosphere" thing is a lame excuse for selling full-price seats where there really is no space for additional seating. When pointing the issue out to the manager during the intermission, all I got was a snappy and rude response. Show was mediocre at best – wouldn’t go there again

We're sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your experience. It's true that our theatre does become quite tightly-packed, with patrons sharing tables, particularly on Friday or Saturday nights. If you prefer more spacious comfort, we would recommend a Wednesday or Sunday evening, when there are often extra seats available. We take customer service seriously, and you should never receive rude responses from our staff. As you can see from other responses, we get overwhleming positive feedback about both our shows and the staff. We nonetheless take your comment seriously, and appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts. We hope you'll try us again.

“Too funny... too good of a time!”
Reviewed February 19, 2013

Whether it's a Valentine's date, a large group out for a birthday, or just a fun night out with friend, this place is outstanding! The history in this building is seen through all the pictures on the wall, and the comedians in the show are truly impressive. If you've been to Yuk Yuk's and thought that was funny, you will be pleasently suprised by how much better Second City is. I highly recommend!

“Toronto's Most Underrated Thing to do”
Reviewed February 11, 2013

I've been to Second City several times - (I've been a a few revues, some stand-up comedy nights, and improv nights). I have never been disappointed from a night at Second City. This is the perfect place to bring visitors to the city (the comedy club is often over-looked by Torontonians but is a hidden gem).

Some tips:
-if you're out late in Toronto - check the schedule and drop by - there is often free Improv late-nights (Where they test out new material) and free amateur stand-up
-Friday & Saturday are the busiest nights - book in advance (and go early)
-Go with an open mind and do not be offended

The revue shows are extremely well done. The actors at Second City are top notch. It costs ~$25 and is well worth it (unlike other comedy clubs, there is no 2 drink minimum).

Strongly recommend Second City for both tourists and locals.
