We went as part of an out-of-town group.

No matter how good or bad the comedians were, the obscene language permeating every sketch made it a disagreeable evening. Sad that so-called comedians think gutter language makes them funnier. I would be embarrassed to take a date to Second City Toronto.

This wasn't clever comedy; it was garbage. We walked out after an hour when we saw how we wasted out money.

These so-called comedians couldn't hold a candle to a Danny Kaye or Red Skelton.

We sorry to hear that you did not enjoy the performance you attended As you can see from the many positive customer reviews here, the vast majority of our patrons are very pleased and frequently recommend us to their friends. Although our shows do vary from night to night, our evening shows generally contain strong language and explore mature subject matter. We try to inform our audiences of this in advance. For those that prefer, we have occasional matinee performances throughout the year that are suitable for all ages, and geared towards family audiences.

I've been going to Second City since the days when it was located in the Old Firehall (the 1980s), and in all the shows with all the casts, have rarely been disappointed. I dare say that it might well be the best theatre experience in the city of Toronto in terms of consistency and value for money. Last night's show, "We've Totally (Probably) Got This" held up well against the hilarious "Live Wrong and Prosper" from early 2012. The theatre itself is worth the visit, with black and white photos of previous casts and the packed in seats in the theatre ensuring an intimate atmosphere. Drinks are expensive (best to order draft beer with extra glasses) but what nightclub isn't? Haven't tried the food lately, but even in the days of the Firehall, the chow was never a reason to go unless it was to secure a great seat. Highly recommend.

Laughed our heads off. Some sketches can be a bit crude, if that bothers you, be prepared. It all depends on the troupe who are performing. We go about once a year. Almost impossible to get the wait staff to deliver a glass of water, though. But all alcohol comes very quickly. Sit up close if you want a chance to participate.

It was a last minute decision to get tickets Nov 10th for Second City, while we were visiting Toronto. My daughter and I went and laughed until we cried. The improv after the show was as good or better than the actual show. Great evening! I would definitely go again!

My boyfriend and I went here on a Saturday evening. The show was so much fun and I really liked that the performers stayed after the show ended to do improv with up and coming comediens. We will definitely come back the next time we stay in Toronto.
