“A touch of France!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 18, 2013 via mobile

It is getting more difficult to give restaurants a number rating with vague categories. So I will explain my ratings for this restaurant. We went here for dinner on a very hot Wednesday night. The food was excellent. We had the bone marrow and a salad to start and then the Seafood stew and the chicken followed by the raspberry torte. The simple salad was not all that interesting but everything else was flavorful and the frites were exceptionally good. The service from the waitress was poor. We asked three times for lemon for the water and she had attitude when we were ordering. The appetizers were taking a long time and the manager or owner - not sure which brought us a frites which was a lovely gesture and he made up for the waitress. The restaurant was very noisy- it was full and it was extremely hot inside. I would return for the taste of the food but I would sit outside.

“A local gem”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed July 7, 2013

Wonderful local restaurant. The seafood is fantastic - fresh and vibrant. I'd particularly recommend the Catalan seafood stew - one of the best I've ever had. The service is excellent, owner personable and wine list really good. Even the "house wines" include an excellent Oregon Pinot. A stand-out in Leaside and has managed to hit the sweet spot of really good food at a good price.

“SUPERB!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 30, 2013 via mobile

We were traveling through Toronto and checked TripAdvisor for a good place to eat. We chose this restaurant due to its good reviews. We were pleasantly surprised from beginning to end. Salim was extremely helpful in pairing our wine and cheese tray to start off with I've never seen so many escargots served at one time and my duck confit was absolutely delicious along with the green beans Almondine here

“A truly great, romantic meal”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed June 20, 2013

My husband and I went here for his birthday last week while we were traveling in Toronto. The atmosphere is wonderful - understated French bistro. The cover picture doesn't do it justice. The service was outstanding! They were so accommodating and wonderful. The food was out of this world! We shared an appetizer and soup, then had the duck leg and trout. Both were fantastic. We had the triple chocolate dessert and they even put a candle in for the birthday. Our server suggested some wines that were outstanding.
