“Good food, great atmosphere.”

I have been here twice for brunch and loved it both times. Nice variety for brunch. Great staff. Lots of parking at the back.

“A JOKE”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 17, 2013

The first warning bell was the $1.50 charge for one stale bread roll. The second was the waiter and his explanation that people just don't eat bread any more and if they want it they have to pay for it. The promise of a freshly baked warm out of the oven roll was a scam. The third was the wait staff itself. How about filling our Perrier glasses three different times with tap water, replacing the tap water with fresh Perrier, and then charging us for three bottles of Perrier.
The food - mediocre at best. I recommend that you find somewhere else on Ossington. This one is just too arrogant for its own good.

“try their brunch!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 25, 2013

a friend and i were going for brunch and decided to give this a try when it was first opened. The food was SO delicious and even though it took a bit to get it was all worth it, I have to say the Caesar we had was well made and tasty, very good size and not overly priced. If you havent yet, do yourself a favour and try it! Servers are nice and friendly and yeah, the place is a bit loud but its ok

“Overrated and Noisy”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 2, 2012 via mobile

Joanne Kates the restaurant critic gave this a good review so we tried it last Friday. The chicken wing starter was a rather sad affair. Very salty (and I like salt) with a pallid appearance. The garlic sauce with them was bland. The homemade sausage dish was huge. The Duck sausage was good. The others were OK but not excellent. strangely they served with it sauerkraut (homemade) with potatoe salad. I sampled the baked bone marrow which was excellent. The chocolate cake dessert was tasty. A reasonable selection of wines by the glass. Early in the evening the noise level was high but we could converse. Later the noise precluded any conversation excepth for the person sitting next to you. The walls are ceramic tile with some wood panelling and the floor was terrazzo or similar non sound absorbing material. service was friendly if a bit over the top enthusiastic and at times erratic. Overall on a very average experience

“A Great Restaurant for a Party”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 22, 2012

Went to the Saint on Ossington last nite for a birthday party - six sixtyish ladies. It is a nice, casual dining room with ceramic walls. Very Very Noisy. It was difficult to carry on any kind of conversation. But it was fun. Our server was Robin and she was VERY attentive and helpful. The food was interesting. We had appetizers of oysters (I don't really care for them but those that do enjoyed them), cod fritters (the best of the apps we tried, absolutely delish), roast bone marrow (interesting and delicious but not much for the price), the perogies (scrumptious).
For dinner, two had the duck and really enjoyed it, two had the chicken and although it was good, the sausage gravy was quite sweet and a little off putting, and the sausage platter which if you are in to sausages and sauerkraut, was good, and the lobster and corned beef hash which came with two poached eggs and was supposed to have bernaise sauce on it but I couldn't see any. It was good but not memorable. The banana cream pie was good but not like my Mom used to make.
All in all a good but unmemorable meal but lots of fun and great service from Robin. If I go again I will have the burger.
