Its taken a few months to write this review but the memories of staying at this hotel remain everlasting.

We spent 5 days in this hotel and from the minute we walked through the door to checking out everything was fantastic. We had arranged to be married in Toronto and the stay here at Le Germain made our day even more special.

The rooms were very stylishly decorated, the beds were extremely comfortable, the bathroom was very modern with great amenities. Even though our room faced the night club noise wasn't an issue and the hotel even provided ear plugs for those more sensitive to sound.

Service at this hotel was second to none, the staff were friendly, efficient and always willing to help to ensure we had a comfortable stay and a great time in Toronto. The attention to detail sets this hotel apart from others. Everyone from front of house, restrauant staff to housekeeping excelled.

The fitness centre was on the small side but adequate.

The location of the hotel is a bit off central but everything is still within walking distance.

Breakfast however could be improved with more choices being made available, although what is offered is of high quality.

Even a mistake on our bill noticed after we had checked out was rectified within 2 days, very impressed.

Our 40th Anniversary joined by another couple. Son booked hotel as a gift. Fabulous rooms - terrific amenities, we used them all. Hotel had a platter of treats and fruits for us when we arrived with a welcome card for our anniversary. Attending to details. We arrived at 2.30 pm and spent the afternoon and evening with our friends in the hotel - playing mini put, relaxing on the outdoor patio on the 11th floor, sharing more treats with our Champagne on the patio, relaxing, enjoying the hotel. King Street is 1 block away, full of restaurants, so walked around in the evening and enjoyed our evening of wining and dining. Perfect location and ambience for adults. Wonderful library area with specialy coffees on the main floor. We all want to go back, we live in Hamilton/Burlington so it is a perfect get-away for us.

We spent three nights at Hotel Le Germain to celebrate my husband's birthday. The room was spacious, extremely clean, modern, and tastefully decorated. Overall, I was quite impressed with the service and attentiveness of the hotel staff. The concierge was very helpful in arranging a sitter for our toddler so my husband and I could enjoy a night out. I also had asked her to purchase a birthday cake for my husband. She picked out a delicious cake and had it waiting in our room at check-in, with a bottle of wine and a personal note wishing us a nice weekend. The housekeeping staff also set up a diaper pail in our room (without us having to ask), which I really appreciated. The hotel was super quiet (we were on the 10th floor) -- never heard a peep from anyone. Yes, the hotel is on a side street, but in my opinion that was an asset -- quieter, easier to get in and out of, etc. We were very pleased with our experience.

The title sums it up, really. The service was good but very distant, not at all friendly. We don't like big hotels and try to go for the smaller, boutique hotels. I guess this hotel is ideal for businessmen but as tourists we wanted something with a bit more atmosphere. Sadly, we didn't find it here, although there was nothing specific to criticise.

We stayed for four nights at Le Germain and were not disappointed. The rooms are very spacious with tall ceilings and all the modern comforts including a great bed. Staff were very friendly. No qualms at all? Well, it's a ten minute hike to the subway station. That's fine for one or two days, after that it becomes a little boring.

This hotel is located on an awful, sketchy looking street with absolutely no view on either side of the building. It is conveniently located for tourists, however, so are countless other hotels that are located in the downtown core. I would classify this as a 3 star hotel.

Room was not ready at 4pm even though check-in was 3pm. Zero amenities. Hotel had no vibe, no lobby lounge other than a library sitting area with an honor bar serving 3 mediocre varietals of wine.

Comfortable bed and shower but again nothing that would differentiate it from most other hotels.

No turndown service.

Lengthy line-up for check out.

We live in Toronto and spent the night here for our anniversary. I would not recommend it to visitors. There are much nicer hotels that will not require you to spend $400.

Dear “The_Cart_Toronto”,

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments regarding your stay with us. I apologize for the delays during your check-in and check-out. It is certainly not up to the standard we strive to offer on a consistent basis.

In regards to your comment about the atmosphere of the lobby, we share your opinion about the vibe and therefore will be undergoing some changes to our Victor Restaurant this summer to open it up a little more to the lobby and highlight the hip bar/lounge aspect with a great sharing menu while maintaining some dining tables. We can then keep the library for those looking for the quieter more relaxed environment. The changes should be completed by mid August so I do hope you will come by to let us know if it is more in line with your expectations.

Best,
Paul de La Durantaye
