“Amazing Stay”
Reviewed April 3, 2013

Had a great experience at the hotel - the rooms were very sizeable and well appointed, and the bathroom was exceptionally large.

Staff were all lovely, and were eager to help both at check-in and with anything else that was needed, including car service to the airport.

We had dinner at the restaurant one night, and the food was fantastic - a seasonal "Taste of Toronto" menu offered small tapas portions, which were all impressive.

Free (and easy to use) wi-fi and complimentary breakfast were welcome additions.

Great hotel in an excellent area for visiting the sites and for restaurants. Superb service from all staff always helpful and informative. The library with an open fire and complimentary good quality coffee available all day was a great place to relax after touring the city. Lovely breakfast with, again, helpful and smiling staff.

Nothing but great things to say about staff and the beds here. Rooms are feeling a bit run down and worn out, could use a refresh!
Watch out for construction around this hotel as their are condos going up everywhere!

having stayed at the Le Germain in Calgary I was hoping for an equally good experience and I found it and more. The hotel staff were great and flexible - the library with the fireplace just off the lobby was a lovely place to unwind after a long day. The room was fantastic and the design is really suited for both male and female travelers. Example - the hair dryer is kept in a mirrored cabinet with an outlet away from the sink which frees up space. Little things like that - and the rainwater showers - really distinguish this brand of hotels from lots of others. Free internet, comfortable linens and towels and quiet floors - all mark this brand of hotel.

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the elevator and higher floor.

The hotel lived up to every expectation I had, it's modern, high end hotel in a great location. There is construction happening next to the hotel, but it didn't bother us at all. Our stay was perfect, we'll be back!

Perfectly located, in the middle of the entertainment district, close to the business district, this hotel is by far one of the best option in Toronto. If it rain, or snow, PATH is just one block away.

Lobby is vast, well decorated and very Cousy. Staff are there for your comfort and you will always feel as the ONE important guest of the hotel. Room, are vast, well decorated and, nice bathroom and a lot of convenient storing space, safe, Nespresso coffee, large windows, quiet, ...

Hotel restaurant is good but, pricy and limited variety. Breakfast in line with European standards.

In a nutshell, I really appreciate this hotel and will be back soon.

it's simply a natural tendency to make judgements based on a combination of experiences that stand out and an overall lingering assessment when it's all over. And so it is for me when evaluating hotels — did I like it?… would I stay there again?… did anything stand out?

Our 24 hr. stay at the Le Germain Toronto was all that could be asked for really. Early check in and late check out OK'd, a remarkably quiet sleeping experience — rare especially being in the heart of downtown Toronto — very agreeable minimalist modern decor and amenities (no signs of wear, tired and/or chipped paint/furniture/fixtures and so on that one often sees), free wi-fi, much appreciated Molton Brown toiletries, in room Bose Wave radio, good and abundant specialty coffees and a decent enough continental breakfast spread with lots of fresh fruit, pastries, cheeses and h-b eggs, a terrific lobby lounge replete with the scent of the ever burning pine logs, very helpful breakfast room staff as well as front desk staff (thank you Adam), multiple in/out valet parking privileges, etc., etc.

What's not to like? The only single wrinkle, which wasn't at all an imposition of any significance, was the curiously early departure of the concierge from 4:00pm onwards. While a consult would have been preferred, we were certainly able to decide upon and book our evening restaurant without difficulty in any case.

We've stayed at this chain's Quebec City hotel more than once and in the final measure of perceived value, we'd certainly stay at this Toronto location again as well.

Room Tip: our North side 8th floor room was not only quiet but had a decent downtown view
