After fighting my way across Toronto through rush our traffic, I needed something to perk me up. The Shebeen pub is right down the street from my hotel so I gave it a try.
This place is a bar. There are table but it seems to center around the bar so that is where I sat. The bar tender was very nice and served up a cold been as requested. I ordered the grilled salmon and listened in on the conversation while I waited. On this night, it seems there are alot of regulars at this place. It was a fun conversation so it was OK.
The dinner was a surprise: It was wonderful. The salmon was grilled with a lemon, butter, caper sauce, It was cooked just right and tasted great. It was served with roasted sweet potatoes and a side salad. The sweet potatoes were good. They weren't overcooked or soggy and I ate them all. The salad wasn't anything special but it was OK.
I enjoyed the drink, food, and conversation. What more can you ask for?
