Description: In the heart of the historic St. Lawrence Market, G For Gelato and Pizza Bar serves the finest gelato in Toronto, made with recipes passed down in the Polsinelli family for years. From classic roasted pistachio to creative flavor pairings like coconut basil, blueberry lavender, and London Fog (vanilla and Earl Grey tea), we make our gelato using the freshest ingredients and source many seasonal fruits and veggies from local farmers markets. In our cozy, rustic space, we also serve hand-tossed thin crust pizzas as well as foccacia paninis, frittatas, pastas, and fresh salads. Start your morning with our hand-crafted coffee and espresso drinks paired with a sweet pastry, or sit down and enjoy a leisurely lunch with our house favorite funghi pizza, a white pizza topped with mixed mushrooms, fresh arugula, and a drizzle of truffle oil. Need to bring a taste of Italy to your next celebration or corporate luncheon? We also cater and deliver at your convenience. For a sweet break in your day, sit and stay with us at G For Gelato and Pizza Bar for traditional Italian dishes, quiet conversations, and the best gelato in Toronto. We hope to see you soon!

Made a special trip here after reading reviews and it was worth the drive! After visiting Italy, had a craving for gelato but I've tried many places before and they didn't compare. This place was the best outside of Italy!

Did not try anything else but they do offer espressos, sandwiches and light snacks.

Super friendly customer service too!

We were in Toronto for four days and had G for Gelato four times. We only had it four times because we did not want to have to justify anything further to my 9 and 12 year old sons.

The gelato is impossibly smooth and creamy, even in fruit flavors. The flavors are all perfectly balanced, not too overbearing, not too subtle. As a family of four, we probably had a dozen different flavors and tried the rest, and nobody was anything but thrilled with what they had.

The service is bright and friendly and they do not betray any lack of patience with your requests to try flavors.

I have it from reliable sources that you can find comparable gelato in Florence. For North America, though, this is better than Amy's Ice Creams in Austin, the previous gold standard. I'll keep looking, though.

The Grand Hotel is pretty good and conveniently located to G for Gelato, which clearly does matter if you are going to go there every day.

We were having a pleasant wander through the city, when some pleasant people asked us to help them with an art project they were doing. We went and helped them by chewing gum and spreading it on canvas, afterward we each sampled an Italian soda catered by G for Gelato to the event. This soda was so wonderful that we set off to get some more of their amazing products. The restaurant itself is in a prime location, and you can smell the pizza from a mile away. We had already eaten so we settled for a small ferrero rocher gelato which the clerk told us was the most popular flavor. This gelato is the most decadent, delicious, amazing concoction imaginable. If you have only ever had ice cream, do yourself a favor and try this place just once. The price is a bit high, yet it is well worth it. if I ever find myself in Toronto again I will make it a point to return for more gelato and perhaps a bite of their aromatic pizza.

I cannot describe the utter reality of their Gelato. Sooo rich and delicious, and a little goes a long way.

Stop by and have treat yourself, you cannot and will not regret it.

We walked almost 30 minutes from our hotel to this casual restaurant based on the rave reviews from TA and we were not disappointed. The owner is very personable and customer friendly. We had 2 different pizzas, which had a thin delicious crust and were really good. I don't recall having better gelato anywhere. It was well worth the walk.
