4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 5, 2012

Its nice to see a cafe that isnt a chain! the coffee is delicious, amazing, and reasonable for such quality. inside is nice, but i agree with the review that says it is "trying too hard". however, a great cup of jo.

“Noir tries to do too much and ends up only doing some things well.”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed February 10, 2012

If you go to Noir, you have a good chance of being satisfied. You also have a good chance of getting some ho-hum food and coffee/tea. It depends on what you order.

They do tea very well. They have a few interesting coffee drinks (maple bacon latte), but they can come out luke-warm and overly sweet.

Their food is also hit-and-miss. The baked goods, trucked in from other sources, might be good one day, but other days not so much. Order a scone, and you might get a crusty-on-the-outside, moist-in-the-middle delicacy, or you might get a spongy lump of carbs.

The sandwiches seem to be a better bet.

The loaded oatmeal is also a great vacation breakfast, because it's so hearty and healthy.

The decor is gorgeous - Japanese furniture and textiles - and there's plenty of seating. The service is fine too - friendly and quick and attentive. The prices are also reasonable.

My advice would be to choose wisely, maybe don't go with a baked good unless you can be sure it's fresh, and ask that your beverage be piping hot.
