Just east along Wellesley from Church St., is another Ghazale outpost. i was working with clients nearby and needed a spot of lunch. What's good around here I asked, and in one voice, several said "the shawarma place up at the corner'. They couldn't remember the name, saying; the orange sign, with the nice lady inside. Armed with that sketchy info, I found Ghazale, and yes, my colleague assured me,the shawarma was great, generous portion, good sauces, fresh pita wrap, and just 4.99. Captivated by the hot table of vegetable dishes, I opted for the four choice combo (6.99 - 7.99 if you want the chicken, beef or shrimp dishes as combo choices), and wasn't disappointed. Falafel, two vegetable dishes and rice, huge for a lunch and so very tasty. All differently and well spiced.
A very plain sit down area, clean and bright... had to take mine out and get back to work, sturdy carry out containers, very pleasant service (my tipsters were right about the friendly lady serving) and as noted, fair prices. Open til 3 or 4am most nights, if too many beers tells you to grab some food on the way home, I doubt you could do better in the area.
