We stayed here the first week of November.
While the hotel is on Canada's busiest highway, we never knew it in our room. The room was extremly quiet and spotless. The cleaning staff does a great job. We had a flat screen in our room.
There is free internet in the lobby and while the hotel was busy we never had a problem getting on one of the two computers.
The front staff were excelllent with free cookies and newspapers.
We really enjoyed the free breakfast which is one of the best we have ever had included in the price. It consists of fruit, cereal, juice, pastries, waffles, beverages, yogurt and more.
You do need a car to use this hotel, as it is out in the boondocks. I imagine you could get downtown on the TTC from here but it would take a bit of time.
We paid under a $100 per night and would stay here again.
A bonus was the little Caribbean take out shop on the corner. They had huge portions for a vey low price. It was excellent. Also, there are a number of restarants in the area and it is close to the shopping at Scarborough Town Centre which had a WalMart that came in handy.

We stayed two nights, and I found the hotel to be quite comfortable. I would definitely recommend it if you have your own car and want a nice place at a good price.

THE GOOD: Our double-queen room was spacious and comfortable. There was a fridge, microwave, coffee-maker, and free wi-fi. The pool area is very nice, perfect for our teenager to burn off some energy. Their business center was small but adequate for checking email, etc.

THE BAD: The hotel is a long drive from downtown. The complimentary breakfast didn't include protein of any sort, so we skipped it. There is no wired internet connection in the rooms, but you can use the business center if you need secure access.

THE UGLY: Nothing to report -- overall, a great place to stay.

We travelled on Budget for two weeks through western Canada and this was the best Hotel we stayed in. The lobby is very welcoming and the staff is incredible friendly and helpful. There are several complimentary items you can pick up in the lobby, e.g newspaper, muffins, coffee and tea. Even so the hotel is next to one of Toronto's main highways, our room was very quiet. The design was nice and throughout the hotel everything was very clean. Breakfast was nice too. Coming from Germany we would have wished for some a bit more hearty choices like ceddar or an other cheese but when you are into an sweet breakfast with toast, waffles etc you will enjoy it.

Stopped at this hotel on our way back home. Since everything was packed closer to downtown Toronto, we gave them a call and took the only room left. The room size was ok, but everything was clean and comfortable. No problems with Internet access either. Pool area, while not used, seemed very nice. Morning breakfast was ok, but the room was very full and we had to line-up for a few items such as waffles (only 1 waffle maker) and toasts (only 1 toaster). Coffee wasn't great. Staff was nice. This hotel lacks luggage carts as well, and around 2 hours before check-out time, none were available which made me take 4 trips to take everything down. without ever seeing a cart being available. Then again, some selfish people were probably keeping them in their room for later use...

Location is somewhat close to the Don Valley Parkway which brings you downtown, but if you want to avoid Toronto's nightmare traffic better stay downtown. This is just a decent side-of-major-highway hotel, nothing more.

We had to drag our luggage up and down several times before we finally got into our room. When we got to our first room, I swiped the keycard and discovered that the room was occupied, with other people's belongings. I hate to think that someone could walk into my room and take away my valuables because the hotel was not careful while giving out rooms. The staff gave us another room, but before we reached that room, the staff came running to us and said that the room might also be occupied... so down we went again with our luggage.
After ten minutes of waiting, they gave us another room which they claimed was the only room left that has two queen beds. The room smelt really bad, and we couldn't leave the window open to air out because it is on the first floor. We were extremely unhappy about it. I asked to move to another room. This took another 10 minutes.

I think what's frustrating was that I kept getting email "welcoming" us to the hotel -"looking forward to your stay", etc. But when we got there, the room was not kept aside for us. And after a few mishaps, I thought, had I been the management, I would have upgraded the guests to perhaps another catagory of rooms to solve the problem. Instead, the front desk had us dragging our stuff up and down the noisy elevator (that's scary too!) several times.

I had stayed with this Best Western twice before. But I would seriously consider staying elsewhere next time I visit Toronto.

We booked into this hotel with the zoo package, we have 2 children aged 2 and 8 months. We were extremely surprised that the children were banned from the pool, as they are "diaper age" have these people never heard of swim diapers????? Our kids love to play in the pool and our 2 year old, who has been taking swimming lessons for a year, could not understand why she wasn't allowed in the pool, especially as this was the third hotel we had been in on a 10 day road trip and she had been in the pool in both others, incidently not Best Westerns. If this is a general Best Western rule we would certainly not stay in one again.

In the breakfast room in the mormning I asked the member of staff on duty for some water to make up the babys cereal, I was gruffly told "theres a drinks fountain outside"!!!!

We did find the staff unhelpful.

As there are many hotels in this price range if you have very small children I'd advise you to stay elsewhere.

The room was very spacious, had two queen beds, a sofa, desk, fridge, microwave and free wireless internet access. There were some signs of wear in the room but nothing serious or bad. The shower head was strong. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Next to the hotel there was a Keg restaurant and a McDonalds. The Scarborough Town Centre mall was a five minute drive down the street. Breakfast was complimentary. The offerings included bagels, toast, boiled eggs, waffles, apples, juice and coffee. We would gladly stay here again.
