Service is always great and check-in timely in and out. Julia always knows my name.
Enjoy pool and hot tub, one evening smell of chlorine very strong.
Staff extremely friendly and breakfast good, enjoy hard boiled eggs.
Julia will be thrilled to her that you remembered her name and what great service you got, Thank you for your comments and we hope to see you again soon.
This is not a purchased, then renovated hotel. they tend not to be so nice. this appears to have been built as a best western. it has the right feel. i stay here often.
the only issue i had this time, was the pool seemed colder than usual. it is indeed rare to find a warm pool, but when the kids are cold, something is wrong.
First of all, thank you for continuing to stay at our hotel. We refill our swimming pool water about a couple of times a year to keep it fresh. Unfortunately, it takes a couple of days for it to heat up and it looks like your last stay was during that period. We hope it wasn’t enough to ruin your trip. We hope that you will visit us next time so you can enjoy our indoor heated pool.
Very busy hotel. Many guests from all over seem to book this hotel. It is close to hwy 401 and close to the Scarborough Town Centre. Easy access to get downtown, and close to the TTC. Buffet breakfast is ok, don't look for a full out breakfast but it is adequate and the food is good. The staff are friendly, and reception desk was great. Newspapers are available in the morning. Free parking and free wi-fi, which is great as own town hotels and many others charge for this!
Thank you for all your kind words about out “great hotel”. We’re glad that you enjoyed our free wifi. We hope to see you again the next time you’re in Toronto. You should try our zoo package next time and visit the Toronto Zoo which is just 10 minutes away.
Just got back from the long weekend and I would have to agree with the previous reviewer. The hotel was dated and not well maintained. Doesn't show pride of ownership. I was surprised that this was ranked as "PLUS". It was no where near that. The walls were stained and cracked in places. Furniture pieces were worn and the crevices in back of the toilet bowl was not cleaned properly (gross). The bed was comfortable though.
My husband and I stayed at this facility for five days and four nights which gave me adequate time to review this property. So folks, here's the good stuff:
Although close to the airport and the highway, there was no noise.
Close to shopping centres
Helpful daytime staff
Comfortable queen size bed
Here's the not-so good:
I have visited many hotels within this chain from regular to premier and this by far is the worst! From the moment we stepped into the lobby (what little there was of it), we felt cramped. Everything about the property feels like it needs a complete re-do. The room was not designed for two people. There was just way too much in the small room. The sofa was so low that I had to grab the arms in order to get up. I found issues with the bathroom as well i.e. extremely slow running sink drain, tissue holder falling off, no safety grab bar on the tub which was not slip resistant. Housekeeping was ok at best although on one ocassion after returning to our room around 3:00 we found that our room was just being cleaned so we had to wait. Needless to say that after being out since 10 AM that did not go over very well.
Weekend breakfast offerings could not accomodate guests on both days. Had to leave on both days and return as the food staff had to prepare more food.
