What a wonderful atmosphere! Attention to detail was amazing. The casual setting lent itself to conversation & comfort; with a relaxed slower pace. Are you looking for something different? Need to unwind? #yougottaeathere #goodeats #Toronto

Had dinner with two other couples Saturday night, it was a great experience.
Portions very generous and the quality of the food very good.
Wanted to mention wine selection pleasing with a broad range of both whites and reds.
Server Dajia was humorous and delightful.
Only negative comment very limited desert menu

Decent coffee, good service and a reasonable price for a large breakfast!

This is a well-run small place and we had a good server. Not big, but had enough for three booths, and about 12 tables.

There's a small wine selection. Bathrooms are single occupant and no stairs to navigate. Decor is rich and warm colours, but very simple.

Eggs perfectly executed and bacon and sausage comes with the breakfast. You no longer have to choose...that's a nice touch!

White, brown or rye toast available.
For three of us, breakfast that was delicious and filling came to less than 36 dollars.

I'll definitely try dinner there one day!

We have dined at Vi Pei' Cliffside on numerous occasions (breakfast, brunch, dinner). The service is excellent and the food is delicious, with entrees to suit all tastes.

I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this restaurant for casual, family and special occasion dining.

We have had dinner at Vi Pei on Yonge St. three times; the food is wonderful. However, they must improve their service on Saturday and Sunday evenings; definitely not on par with the food quality. All three times there was only one server and one cook. Each time the server was overwhelmed and we waited way too long for wine, water, bread, for our order to be taken, and for the food to arrive. Tonight took the cake! The waitress was new and not trained nor qualified for the job. We arrived at 6:30 pm and got her attention by 7:15. I ordered wine and didn't see her again for 15 min. There were only 2 other parties there at the time. When she arrived with a tray of water and the wine, she spilled its contents all over the table and my husband's shirt and pants. After we changed tables, she served water and bread to the other tables and a new party who just came in, but not to us. The owner arrived and explained the waitress who was supposed to work that night called in sick. The other 2 times we were there, the one waitress explained a server had called in sick. Once.. yes, twice.. ok, but 3 times? Our waitress finally took our orders at 7:30 pm and the food arrived a little after 8 pm. She forgot who ordered what when she delivered the food and plunked the wrong dishes in front each person, without asking. We left at 9 pm; 2 1/2 hours for salad and pasta.
My husband and I are so turned off and have decided we will not go back for dinner again. The food is good but there is no reason to have to put up with inferior service. It's becoming frustrating to dine there. If Vi Pei Yonge St. wants a full house in the evenings, they have to stop being penny wise and pound foolish, and hire 2 servers and a chef's assistant. Friends have also told me they will not return for the same reason, so I'm sure there are many others. They would have a loyal following at Yonge St. if they became more professional.
