Good location, friendly and competent staff throughout.
Modern and stylish decor.
Decent wines by the glass.
Superb cocktail prawns with their spicy sauce!
Steak and side dishes just ok but not noteworthy.

Went to the Shore Club during our recent trip to Toronto. The member of staff looking after us was truly excellent and provided great service without being overbearing in any way. We shared a few jokes and he made us feel very welcome.

To start with I had the Dungeness Crab Cake, which was excellent and very fresh. For main course, I had Salmon Wellington, which was something I had not seen on a restaurant menu previously. It was quite good, however, the papaya did not really add much to the dish. We were offered advice in terms of side orders to accompany the dishes and took the advice in terms of the amount ordered (half portions!) and even then there was a lot of food.

My wife was a little torn over choice of cocktails so the waiter arranged for the head barman to pay our table a visit so he could make some recommendations personally, again, some excellent service there.

I would certainly return to the Shore Club and hope that the experience was as good as it was first time around. Definitely worth a look!

We chose the Shore Club based on the reviews on Tripadvisor. From the moment you arrive until you leave the service is impeccable. Our waiter was knowledgeable, friendly and attentive. The room is beautiful, elegant and modern.

The food however was lacking slightly. Everything was extremely fresh and well presented but could do with a bit more flavor. We shared the fried calamari for an appetizer which was very fresh but we felt it lacked in seasoning. The macadamia-crusted halibut was properly cooked but again could have been fully covered with the macadamia crust to add more flavor. The centre-cut king crab legs were definitely the best thing we had. We ordered asparagus and broccoli as the sides and they were good.

Would I go there again…probably not.

We intended to go here after the symphony at Roy Thompson Hall for a meal but when we got there we only wanted snacks.

We started with the popcorn shrimp which was sooooooooooooo delicious. The shoe string salt and vinegar fries are some of the best I've ever had. We also had the ceviche which was so citrusy and fresh!

Service was amazing!

I will be going back again for sure!
