Love this place and the staff are awesome!! There is no internet and there are no comfortable couches but the coffee (and the fresh lemonade!) are awesome. Bring your own cup if you want to save a tree and not use their paper ones!

“Excellent coffee, good music, and great baked goods”
Reviewed July 16, 2012

Rare to find a place with good coffee and pastries. Try the scones and the bananna chocolate bread! the lattes are also great...Sometimes I have been lucky and picked up a few 2 for 1 pastries at the end of the day when they are closing. If you have time to wait a few minutes in line don't miss this place. Always full of locals (too bad there is limited seating tho) which is always a good sign!

“Great Coffee and my favorite... Gluten Free Baked Goods!”
Reviewed June 26, 2012

I love this place!

They have a wide selection of coffee, lattes and teas for you to choose from and all the staff are unbelievably personable and nice. They deserve all the tips they get - and then some. They manage to clear those long lines in no time!

I love they have gluten free baked goods for you to munch on. It's especially handy when you're running late and need something on the go in the morning. You can also see that they are freshly baked and stocked. Not many places have a gluten free option for people and its always a welcome surprise when they do.

“Great coffee and even better baked goods.”
Reviewed December 5, 2011

This is a great neighbourhood spot. However, don't confuse it with the type of place where you can sit for hours and work away at your laptop. This isn't that kind of place. It's more of an in and out sort of a coffee shop. A walk up. Though they do have stools and counter tops along the windows and one of the walls where you can read the paper or just watch the comings and goings of half the neighbourhood.

The service is relatively good and somewhat casual. Each customer is served one by one and the coffee drinks are made to order. While I was waiting in line I overheard some guys talking about how "this place doesn't even have interac" and "let's just go up the street to Starbucks". And if patience isn't your thing, then maybe do the same. However I find the line does move relatively well and I always appreciate the friendly, attentive service I get here. And of course the coffee is always well worth the wait. I particularly like the lattes and the mochaccino. They also serve one of the best americano's I've had. I'm sure that it's all really good. They also have Hawaiian Kona and Jamaican Blue Mountain coffee if you're wanting to buy something to brew at home.

They bake all sorts of wonderful treats and goodies. They rotate what they make. There's a bake schedule if you're local and want to make sure not to miss your favourites.

Located at the south end of Roncesvalles, this is a great spot to pick up a cup of coffee before walking around the neighbourhood or heading over to the lake shore.
