This place reminded us of the canteen eateries of London, where you can get a deep plate of goodness for less than the cost of a beer.
We had the hot dinner special, which consists of a huge portion of lentil rice, a selection of fresh Lebanese salads, dips and a choice of hot dish from the counter (chicken stew for me, lentil soup for her). We were starving, and we struggled to finish our plate. $5 each. A welcome comfort in the middle of a rainy Kensington Market.
The couple who run it were really sweet and helpful in explaining to us our different options.
Next time will try the falafel as I've heard it's awesome.
